I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction?
Maybe theres some other lvl 11 ish players out there that i could group with??

Where are you now? Are you still in pre-searing? If so, talk to Tydus and accept the mission to get into Post-Searing.

If you're in Post already, do the quests that say "Primary Quest". Then do the missions that these quests lead to. In your map, you'll see shield symbols. Those are mission towns. The missions are huge quests that advance the story. You'll know you're in a mission town if you see "Enter Mission" in your party screen (you'll have to be the party leader to have this option, but if you aren't in a group, you'll see this as well)

Tell us where you are so we can point you to the right direction.

EDIT: Oh yes I forgot about the skill reward quests. Do those as well.

You should check the quests anyhow to find the ones that offer free skills, you may regret passing on those later. Otherwise, find the missions and complete them to keep moving on. If you're level 11, there's plenty left to do for ya.

I'm assuming you're relatively new, but if you weren't you probably wouldn't be asking...

Even quests that you think don't offer much, they'll help your experience grow as well. Again, though... at least do the ones giving free skills. Worth the time and effort.

then move out of ascalon .

there should be a primary quest that takes you to the Great Northern Wall. From there the mission outposts are alot easier to find as most missions end in a mission outpost...or you get a quest from the town that leads you directly to the next outpost.

as it's been stated...your first time through you should try to do every quest possible. I missed one quest my first time through as a ranger because I didn't want to give up the wolf pet that I had to go get a stalker for the tamer. I did every other quest in the game...and it certainly makes you a better player....the more you do something the better you get at it. You'll be happy you took the extra time when you're the only one on your team left alive in the desert

Oh you're in Shiverpeak already. Lvl 11 is kinda a bit low to continue through the game. Your best bet is to do some quests that offer more XP and level up more. Do you have the monk skill Resurrect (not the Signet, its a skill)? Many monk players miss that one. It's offered as a quest reward. I'd say go to Kryta at around Lvl 13 at least (in my opinion).

Restore Life is just one of the rez skills from monks. You should at least have Resurrect and Restore Life at this point. Also, check with the skill trainer Sir Osiric in Yak's Bend. All skills there (except Healing Breeze and Banish), should be obtainable from quests (I'm not ele but my warrior/monk didnt have to buy other skills from him).

Most quests give 250XP. If you have some that give more than that I'd say they're good XP quests. But anyhow if you're looking for quick XP, quests are better than hunting. Not to say you'd get XP along the way, and some reason to go hunting.

One more thing you can do is hunt for materials for your crafting needs.

EDIT: Check this list for quests that offer skills: http://cleaned.beyondunreal.com/temp...wardQuests.htm

Yea I would have to agree with earlier postings... do all the quests that have skills. Better to get them thru a quest than spending a skill point on them later on.

I'm assuming you have not figured out, that in order to properly progress in GW, you must take on missions, not just quests. Most quests (primary included) do not follow the game's progression. Note that you can also choose to ignore many missions but you'll lose out on the storyline (some may say that's a good thing) and easy skill points (standard reward per mission is 1000xp and 1 skill point).

Missions are available at any city symbolized with a shield in your world map. An "Enter Mission" button will appear n your party formation window. Divinitys Creature's post has the proper order of the first few.

itsover has it. The missions with the shields are the key. If you can't find a glowing shield (it's actively pulses bright and dark), then what you need to do is find the next one of those. Often, you'll have a "Primary Quest" at the top of your quest log telling you where to go. At worst, go to the farthest along town you've found and ask where the next mission is. (For instance, if you've been to Yak's Bend, go there and ask where the next mission is.)

Doing quests, even the dull ones (500xp) can lead you to new outposts or towns.
If all fails, check your map and go places that you haven't been before. Explore. Maybe, by chance or god willing, you'll find a new town.

When I started GW I found AuroraGlade only by exploring/accident.

Your next mission is the destination of your current primary quest. I agree with Ashley, just do the quests. They take you to towns as well.

With Reference to post #4, doing the quest line To Kryta: The Refugees will take you on to the next mission town for you, which is "Gates of Kryta".

As mentioned with others, I'd do all the quests along the way or at the very least the ones that reward skills. I was level 20 around Ventari's Refuge. The more attribute points you have, the more powerful you can become. The eariler you get them, the more skill you can gain from real experience (playing the game) and the more builds you can try.

I agree with the previous posters saying do the "shield missions". You should have a shield for "Great Northern Wall".

When you complete a mission, you will see a sword go through the shield from upper-left to bottom-right. This lets you know you have completed the "Primary" portion of that mission, and you can move on.

Look for a shield on your map with NO swords through it. That will let you know where you need to go next to go through the story-arc.

Going through the story-arc will help get you more XP (1,000-2,000 XP per mission depending on whether you get the bonus objective). This will help you level faster.

Don't worry about xp, ever, at all. Trying to achieve secondary objectives will actually get it faster, and get you through the game faster.

Only do quests that offer skill points, item rewards you need, or missions (do all missions, they're fun and give skill points in addition to the xp). In order to find secondary outposts, use one of the many online maps, and if there's a quest to get there, might as well grab it. Finding these outposts is important when you start trying to unlock all skills, most of these minor towns have skill trainers. Don't buy the skills from them until you either finish the game or check online to make sure they're not offered for free by a quest however.

what would be the purpose of "getting through the game faster"? so we can have one more idiot on the forums complaining about how the game is too short and he has nothing left to do?

There's nothing wrong with doing all the quests. In fact, the first time through the game is really a great time to do that. On later characters, you'll probably be bored and only want to do some "essential" quests, like ones that grant skills.

In general, do whatever you want. But if you can't find the next mission, it should be the top quest in your quest log, marked "(Primary Quest)". Otherwise, go to the last location you've been and publicly ask people there where the next mission is.

Or tell us every location you've been to, and we'll tell you what to do. =)

my first time around with guild wars, i did most or all the quests and missions that is available. On my second character, i might just do half the quests.. the real need to do all the quests is to get the exp and get more enjoyment out of the overall story line.

Fifth character for me. Still pre-searing. Went a different direction I didn't realize I hadn't gone in before. New quests.

Go figure.

I know at some points I've been bored and level 10 is kind of a tweenish level.

If you're bored and don't want to do quests that seem pointless it's time to stop doing the quests. The game is about having fun, fun for you not everyone on the boards.

Ignore all the quests and look on the internet for an exposed map. Find the next mission and travel there. I'll say that at 11'ish I think the game hits a dry spell. There's not the constant influx of good skills and there's not any challenge or change in scenery. If you're in the snow you're moving in the right direction. Look on your map in the snow area for Nolani Academy Beacon's Perch and North Kryta and have some fun.

Trust me the skill quests will still be there when you're ready for them.

The other thing I'd say is look up on the web for skill quests. They have them here on this main site. Some people enjoy figuring them out on their own and if you do that's all good but there's no shame in taking the easy way. It's your game and have fun with it. You're not changing their game in any way by having fun.

If you want to come back and do a quest you still can. As far as I can see there's no bonus for doing every quest in the game. I'm not knocking people who did, I'm just saying that you shouldn't if you're getting bored.

doesn't the number of swords signify completing the mission and bonus? I noticed when i got the mission it was one sword, complete the bonus and the second sword appears.
