Okay so I finally got this R/E PvP build working.

Attributes:

Fire Magic: 12
Expertise: 9
Wilderness survival: 10
Marksmanship: 8

Skills:
Poison Arrow (E)
Hunter's Shot
Mark of Rodgort
Favorable Winds
Whirling Defense
Troll Unagent
Ignite Arrows
Resurrection Signet

My bow is a max fire dmg halfmoon, +30 Health, 8 Marksmanship requirement
Armor is Druids, no major or superior runes, one Superior Rune of Vigor.
Health it thus 560, energy is 32

PvP builds should be around a single tactic I think. Mine is simple and easy to execute. Mark with Rodgort then poison arrow. If he moves, hunter's shot, if he used a stance, ignite arrows. Favorable winds if enemy team does not have as many Rangers as our team does.

I'm thinking about replacing Winds with Conjure Flame...

So how do I make this build better?

Oh and BTW is there a limit to how many pips of degen a person can have?

10 pips degen max, i would say take out whirling defence for conjure, and take out hunters shot for pin down.

With 12 Fire Magic it would be criminal not to have conjure flame!

I'd keep Whirling Defense, if only for when you use Troll, or just to escape those pesky Warriors.
Instead, I'd take out Favourable for Conjure. You'll get a lot more dmg, you won't need to worry about how many Rangers there are, and you don't really need the extra arrow speed if you're using a shortbow.

You might actually be better off using Kindle and a Zealous bowstring instead of Ignite and a Firey string- to help get back the energy you're spending on Mark of Rodgfort. It might not be enough, in which case you'd have to risk losing a skill and using Glyph of Lesser Energy.

Fire/Poison together give -10 already, so I dont think the bleed is really necessary so Id take hunters shot out. Id replace it with glyph of lesser enhergy, itll save you 10 energy per rodgort. (for a ranger, thats more like saving 24 energy due to expertise) You should also put in conjure flame (take out unguent, its inefficient and ineffective healing) 12 fire magic will make it some really nice damage.

If you decide to not put in conjure flame, change your bow string to a poisoners, since ignite will trigger rodgort anyways.

I'm not sure how to treat the above post...why would they be talking about Conjure Phantasm in an R/Ele? Maybe CONJURE flame is what they mean.
