which weapon

wondering which weapon to choose axe,sword,or hammer reason for choosing that weapon type and what weapon do you have equiped right now.

Sword is most common by far, mostly for its looks. Axe is also popular, and has a wider range of damage but about the same average damage. Swords and axes attack equally quickly. Hammers are least popular in PvE, but EXTREMELY useful in PvP because they have some good skills and can knockdown opponents. Axes have a lot of deep wound skills, whereas swords have more bleeding and just greater damage skills.

Hammers attack slowly and take both hands (so no bonuses from shields!) but you can do more damage with them.

with 16 axe mastery, high strength, and 15% mods, you can do alot more damage with an axe than with a sword. because it has the same swing speed, but more criticals and armo penetration with the mastery and strength. So my advice to you is go sword if you want to condition them to death. or go axe for the damage output. or go hammer for the knockdown.
