Inter-region Trading

I never really got around to trying it, but...

Is there free reign in the game with inter-region trading? What I mean is, are there any controls in place to govern the economy in the international districts? For example, I'm American, and in the American districts, a glob of Ectoplasm usually goes for about 10k, but keep in mind that America (and Korea) have favor a huge portion of the time, so we have access to Underworld more than, say, Europe. So one would think that Ecto's would be in greater demand by Europeans, given their lack of sufficient opportunities to acquire them themselves. So would it behoove me, therefore, to sell my Ecto's in the International districts to a European player? Or is there something in place to prevent that kind of cross-market profit? Any insight on this would be appreciated.
