This was stated in another thread http://guildwarsguru.com/forum/showt...672#post338672, I didn't want to hijack the subject, so I thought I'd start this in a new one:

It's like you're never experienced enough until you start patronizing everybody in your party and calling them noobs, whenther they are or not.
And that got to me to the point that I myself started turning into one in a way, starting UW/FoW expeditions stating that: "I have done this plenty of times, so save us some time and don't try to patronize".
Everybody was a noob at some point, there's nothing shameful about it, so why do some people intentionally point it out in a mean way, just because they know something you dont yet.

I do realise some noobish mistakes can cost the party alot, like talking to NPCs in UW/FoW, or taking the wrong quests, and god knows how many times that wasted my personal time and a hardly assembled group to boot, but.. Instead of cursing and calling names, how about you let these noobs in on your expertise, maybe then they won't be noobs anymore and you might start enjoying the group/mission.

Everyone was a newb once, not a noob. Good point though. noobs are the ones that dont grow up, newbs are the ones that just havent been around to know whats going on.

I guess uv gotta accept the fact that some ppl are just idiots... i remember once i was leading a trapper ranger group.. i knew that some fo them had never done it before .. or havnt had much experience... cuz i was asking abt their skillset and cud know how experienced they were..

well anyways.. we set things up and entered..
knowing that there were a couple of inexperienced trappers.. i was trying to make sure they knew what to do and what not to do.. drawing lines on the map.. giving out instructions was what i was doing.. and i was also tryin to giv them reasons for doing what i was doing..

then we had this know it all ranger in party who just couldnt take it.... he said to me "dude shut up.. were not all noobs u know"after that i just kept quiet and went with the flow..

we ended up dying in the next mob... lol..

guess if u want something done right.. go with guild mates :P

I's sickening to the bone, and I sort of regretted, that I didn't give that monk a piece of my mind for being rude to the whole team.

But I've seen many monks simply leave the party for being criticized, regardless for whatever reason.

So I bit my tongue and sold my soul for the sake of the completition of the mission.

Thank god not every monk is that way. I've also teamed with monks that proove, that humanity and comon sense still exist in some remote regions of GW.

Lol we all are noobs in some parts of the game.
I finished the game 4 times now, and last week i was helping a group with Thirsty Rivers (its a fun mission), I told them they can trust my leadership, my call and my painting on the mini map.
Then after the last bridge, I got stuck between the rocks, and couldent move...so there we go, havent felt that way before..and now I was really a noob...no idea what to do, until one group member had a great idea, and i was out of the rocks...
so there will be noob like experience all the time and thats also good, we should never forget that we started once ...and knew nothing about games like GW.
So have respect to newbies, and just explain to them in a friendly and calm way how things work! You will be rewarded with many new gamer friends.
