Best Necro Armor?

Hey guys,
I searched the forums..but came up with nothing. Seeing as 'best' is too sort to be searched, I came up with 10+ pages of anything that mentions necromancer or armor. So, on to my question.

Which necromancer armor is the best? Should I get scars? Is that +energy about as important as it is to monks or rangers (where tattoos and druids seems to be the main choice because of the + energy)

Or should I get a different set? I'd appreciate your opinions.

Thanks.

What is best for me may not be best for you.

The "best" depends on how you plan to play your necro. The armor crafter shows the amor stats prior to purchasing them. Look at the stats and decide what works best for you. Also, if looks is important to you, weigh out your options.

That's one thing I like about GW. After reaching lvl20, there really is no "best" item, only "best" players.

Good point, but seemingly everyone recommends Druid's for rangers, gladiator's for warriors, all because of that energy boost. I was thinking necros would be the same, but just wanted some opinions.

Like what was said, it all depends on how you plan to use your character. If your playing, and you keep finding yourself always a little short on energy, then choose an armor set that gives you some energy boost. If you don't find yourself having problems with energy, then choose an armor that would benefit your play style.

SOME people say that druid's and gladiator's are the "best" armor for rangers and warriors, respectively, probably because they use alot of high energy spells, or spam low energy ones. Adrenaline based warriors don't really need any energy boost, they'd probably do better with Ascalon Set (reduce damage benefit). My ranger doesn't use druid's because I don't really run out of energy while playing (that and I really don't like the way it looks, twigs! ugh!).

So basically, you have to figure out what's "best" for your character.

The first set of draknor armor I bought for my necro was the one with the highest def (believe it was the necrotic) but after messing around and beating the game, found myself not really in need of the extra armor, but more wanted the energy. I currently have the full necro scar pattern armor, accept for the boots. Those I went with the bloodstained boots for faster skills while using corpses since I have a lot of points in death magic, and am a minion master.

As said by people above me, there is no best, this is just what works for me.

I carry two sets, the necrotic and the scar. One set is one, one is in the 5 slot bag.
I can use different pieces to get different power and armor levels.

it also depends on your secondary profession...because if your second is an elementalist, ranger, monk, or mesmer...lmao i would go with the energy boost because most of them has spells, enchants, hexes that usually cost 10 energy... with your necro spells and your second profession energy can get a little tight...
if your second is warrior i would go with the extra armor, unless you plan to use your warrior for tactics or strength. if you plan on going close range with your necro, extra armor is quite pleasant.

oohh heres a tip..only if your second profession is a monk though..lol and that you use animate bone horrors or that bone fiends..spells. you should use heal area everytime you're like walking around with your bone friends, so they won't die on you this is actually a common knowledge..but i saw my friend do this and i was like "whoa!" and you can get a whole army of bone thingys following you! but of course this way costs a lot of energy...

if you need BONES for your armor...i got them! i have over 500 i need to get rid of...i'll sell it to you for 5g each! or we can figure out some costco discount thing...
my ign is mister peachy or just pm at this account
