I thought this game was suppose to be an mmorpg....... I’ve had to do everything so far by my self, I’ve found no one out when I’ve been questing or exploring. Does the game become Community heavy or should i just go dust off Dungeon Siege

You aren't going to find anyone outside of towns because everything is instanced. Meaning there is a copy of the area for you and your party alone. You meet people in towns and group up there to head outside where it will be just you and your party. And you are correct, this isn't an mmorpg, rather a sort of Diablo type set up.

I was told its a Fantasy based mmorpg, there wasn’t really much more to read up on as I’ve always liked the other fantasy set mmorpgs that I’ve played

Well the game is instanced....meaning once you leave town the world map is drawn specifically for you and your party. This alleviates the problem with griefing, kill stealing, noob slaughtering...etc etc etc everything you've come to know as "part of the game" for the majority of MMORPGS....eventually you will be able to share your "instanced world" with up to 8 other people as part of a group.

The way they have it is fine. If you want to play in a party, form a group in town then leave the town.

I would start to get to know others in game and put them on your friends list.

You could've read some reviews. They answered a lot of your questions.

Oh well, another £50 wasted - anyone know of any good mmorpgs that are just entering P2P or open beta?

Blue

Oh and by mmorpg I mean a real one not anything like Guild Wars, Diablo II or Dungeon Siege,

As you encounter new things with your character they'll pop up in a hint box. The first time your character ever leaves a town a box will come up and describe how you're suppose to go into town to meet people and form parties...

One problem most people have, myself included, is that as soon as a hint box comes up they're closing it. I guess those things do have a function other then being annoying.

Yeah, totally different games, perhaps try Everquest 2, it is similar to WoW.

Then you just need to find a good, experienced PvE guild to party with. It makes a world of difference.

That and PreSearing is kind of lacking tough creatures unless you venture North of the Wall.

I guess you could wait for Dungeons & Dragons Online. I believe they've sent out some Alpha invites... So wait for them to go into Open Beta (That is, if they don't go into Closed Beta )

My friend is normaly very good at giving advice on games to play - he got me in to my first mmorpg and has "guided" me from that one to the next and the next and so forth so when he recomended Guild Wars i thought it must be good,
