Purchase in Korea = play in NA possible?
Deep
If I purchase the game here in Korea (releasing April 28), will I be able to play on the North American servers? or only Korean ones?
ShotGunBunny
I believe there will be only 1 server, but i don't know for certain.

Technically you should be given a choice as to which World you wish to reside in (America, Europe and Korea), but I was only presented with America and Europe when I did it (it may have something to do with what language you select beforehand).
If you want to play with your friends in the Korean server, but you play in the American one (or vice versa), you can always arrange with them to meet up in the international districts.

There are a few server bases, but you don't get to select which one...
...because they are all connected. You select your locality to:
A. Set the connection to the closest servers
B. Set the local districts of the towns you will be in (you will only see those from Asia in the local districts)
Each town/base that you're in has an International District where anybody from anywhere can meet up and party for a mission. There's a little drop-down menu in the upper left when you're in a town/base that allows you to switch districts.

Sounds good. Thanks for the info.
edit:
I assume the text will all be in Korean for me (buying it in Korea), but I know when I purchased UO a long time ago, there was a command or editing a line in the game that changed it all to English. Does anyone know if this will be possible for this game as well?

Yes, you can change your language. Just click the Options button on the login screen. (Or by selecting Options from the Menu in game)

Download the client now and set up an account without entering a CD key.
I was under the impression that you arent able to change where your account is stored, but you can choose to store it in NA and just play in the International Districts until you change locations.
When you buy it in Korea, you should be able to just enter the CD key for your client and everything should run ok. 0_o
Hope that helps.

Why should I download the client now?
Deagol
I suspect you should download the US/EU client, and then enter the CD key from the Korean retail box.
This is because the US/EU client dosn't allow us to change to the Korean world anymore, so maybe the opposite is also true.
I have no way of knowing if cd keys are interchangable between Korea and US/EU, but I hope so.

Ok...I downloaded the client, but can't create an account. Having network routing issues. The primary reason why I am quitting another game and starting to play this one!!!! There is no love for me these days!!!!

you may not be able to set up an account if the servers are not up. if you are having firewall issues, open port 6112. you should be able to choose the "world" you wish to play in when you set up your account. you can change language setting in options. remember, you can change your "world" up to 5 times.
if you have further "routing issues", try our Technician's Corner or Guild Wars Support.
