What is the best axe,and are all axes one handed.favorite axe mod.

All axes are one handed. As far as the best that is for you to decide. Your build has something to do with your "best" axe. For example, I use an axe warrior with live vicariously. So the best axe for me is a vampiric axe. There is no real "better" axe as far as different types, but max dmg is 6-28. The mods are what determine what an axe is; however the best axe for you may be different for anyone else.

P.S. If you want something sweet looking, chaos axes are probably the way to go

There may be the best looking axe (which of course depends on who you ask). But as far as utility is concerned, the best axe (or any item for that matter) is one that complements and enhances your skills and play style.

Definitely not the Chaos Axe. Looks like they didn't bother to put a texture on it.

Serpentine Axe, of which I have a nice, nice purple one, and the war pick are my favorite lookers.

EDIT: I have a max damage hand axe with full time +10% damage, which is really nice, but it's -10 armor while attacking. Still trying to decide how good that is. Works real well if someone else is getting pounded.
