Ground disapearing?

I and other people I've talked to have had the problem that when they minimize (Like pressing Alt+Tab and checking a forum) the game and someone in your party changes areas - zones - the ground isn't loaded when you maximize the game again.

I was wondering how many other people had this problem. Thanks.

Nope. I can minimize and get back in and notice no difference. The only odd thing I've really ever seen is someone run over a bridge then fall through it, then reappear through the ground on the other side. Though, that's probably just lag.

I'm talking about minimizing, having someone zone and then going back in. Not just minimizing and going back in.

A friend of mine had this happen once, he minimized and then tabbed back in and it was fine after that.

Happens VERY rarely (once for me in 600+ hours of gameplay), and i thought it sorta looked cool, because i spent an entire map walking on what looked like an ocean. Not really a priority fix.

Card overheating or powersupply starting to go bad usually causes strangeness similar to that. Only time i start to get really worried about stuff like that is when the character actually tries to behave as if there was no ground beneath his feet.

It ALWAYS happens when we enter a zone with my game minimized. I doubt it's that kind of problem at all, maybe I can just multi-task (Look at forums and play at the same time) better than most people.

Or get into groups that go without chiming me when I ask them the most.

Update your graphics drivers. It probably is not a problem with GW itself, as the game plays VERY nicely with windows when it comes to alt+tabbing and things.
