GW Preorder cd

alright, I got the GW preorder cd, and when I put it into my comp and it boots up, some of the letters are getting cut off of my screen. It is like my screen isn't big enough to show the full image so it gets cut off. How can I fix this?

ok, i was just messing around trying to solve this and i changed my res from 800 by something i forget, to 1024 by something, i forget. but now the thing opens with enough room and stuff, but everything else, like typing, and my desktop is small.

I have another question if anyone can help me. When I enter my key into the client, I get an error message that says my acount already has acess to the rights that this key provides. I still want to use the pass to reserve my name and stuff, even though the beta events are over, but why do i get this message?

yeah, I get the same thing - I bought a preorder package today (4/24) from EB Games, and when I try to type in the pass code that came with it, it just pulls up a window that says "Your account already has access to the rights this key provides. (Err=105)" I didn't participate in any of the beta events and I've never typed in that key as far as I can tell, so does anybody know what's up with this? Is it just that way because it's not the 27th yet, and when the sneak preview starts, I'll be able to login with no problem? Or is there something else I need to do?

you cant create (or reserve a name) unless you are live in game
your first chance will be the early preorder period of the 27th

Original resolution you mentioned was 800x600. 1024x768 is the next, and that's pretty much the minimum I'll work with. I run mine at 1280x1024. You get used to the smaller icons/text/etc. pretty quickly.

I didn't have this exact error (I think it was 119), but I got a similar one, after wiping my computer, and reloading everything. The response from GW support was basically, "You got it because no events are running; when you login on the 27th, you'll be fine."

your question has been answered and has nothing else to do with the original topic.

to recap:
you had resolution problems. if your text is too small, use "Large size" under the DPI setting, which can be located under the "General" tab of the "Advanced" settings under "Display Settings".

you cannot reserve a character name without creating a character. you cannot create a character until the servers are open to the public.
