PC on Sup Vigor & Major Absorption

Why do superior rune of absorption go for more than superior rune of vigor?

Absorption can only be used by one class and the additional -1 reduce damage effect is minimal if you consider how much more you paid for it (as compared to the major rune of absorption).

Superior rune of vigor on the other hand is usable by all classes and provides a nice +40 hp boost.

Are rune of absorption really that much better? Are they more rare and even if so, does it still warrant the additional cost especially when superior vigor is better in almost every way?

The merchant's price of sup absorption is so outrageous that I think they must be rarer

A few things...

First, runes of vigor go 30/41/50; for many people, spending 40k for a superior rune as opposed to 3-4k for a major rune just for that extra 9 hp isn't worth it.

Second, absorption is pretty good. It's one of the few runes that doesn't have a negative health cost with its major and superior runes, meaning warriors can equip Superior Absorption easily.

Third, absorption and vigor are each better in different circumstances. Absorption is good against a lot of physical attackers; vigor is good for hexes and for equipping other major/superior runes. But unless you have the money, you don't really need Superior Vigor.

35-45k for for Superior Vigor sounds right, but Major Absorption is already around 4k at trader's I think, so I'd sell for 2-3k.
