ele/mes or ele/monk?

as a second character i have decided to pick a elem. but im not sure if i should choose a mesmer or monk as a second? svp, alittle help

I personally like Ele/Mes. You can do a lot of things with it. You can either use the mesmer skills to compliment your elementalist skills in damage dealing and caster interuption by using illusion magic or domination, or you can use inspiration to keep your energy running non stop.
