I'm expecting everyone to make sure they read the guidelines, as these guys make me look like small potatoes when closing threads!
As how we like to keep things friendly around here, remember, if you have a question, PM one of the mods, or if you really want an answer, all of them. By using a ; when sending a message to people via PM, you can place more then one receiver for a message to be sent out.
I'm still trying to improve things for the community as a whole by convincing the admins about new features and products like a trading hall program, new forums (until the trading program comes into effect) and more of an ability to post comments about how trades have gone between two people.
Looking forward to a nice welcome from the community to our new fellas.

LoL, actually I had no idea he was a new mod till I was looking around on the forums earlier and saw his name not looking as sneaky as it normally does. :P So it was a surprise to me none the less, but a good one. =)

But seriously, the more we can educate the new folks here the better it will be for everyone! If you bid on an item and the OP is making a mistake, please point that out to them in a nice way. Lots of people fail to read the rules early on and violate rules out of ignorance. Unfortunately with 800+ players on at any given time we cannot afford to look the other way for anyone.

You guys really are taking no prisoners...the amount of sales posts you have closed just because the seller has answered a direct question.
Why is answering a question specifically asked by a buyer before the 24 hour period considered a bump? Surely it is polite to answer someones question?
I'd understand if it was completely pointless and only done to bump, or is it just a blanket policy on the sales threads, no matter what the reason for an additional post?
Anyway, you certainly do seem to be on the ball.

Most questions are like "What are the mods?", "Post a pic?", "When is this going to end?" ... the Auctioneer does not have to reply.
The Auctioneer simply can EDIT his original post and update their auction. This will not cause a "bump" in his/her auction.

Examples are:
- PM a player.
- Edit your post.
- Contact them via chat program if they have the information provided.
- In game answers.
Theres no reason in the entire world next to you being on your death bed and possibley dead in the next 5 minutes that we will allow a post inside of 24 hours since your last one.
This forum is kept clean for the casual gamer who doesn't have all day to continually type "bump" every 10 minutes when your thread is pushed off the page.
I used this example with anyone who asks about the bumping rule:
- 20 posts per page.
- There are 21 people posting their new items.
- All 21 hit their submit button.
- 1 person finds out their thread is on the second page and says "Can't have that now." And bumps it.
- The new 21 person says the same thing. *REPEAT*
Eventually all 21 people will get into a loop until someone gives up and leaves.
That is not a situation we want the casual gamer to end up in. They might have enough time in their busy day to post once maybe in the morning, go to work for 8-9 hours, get home, eat, spend time with the family, then play for a couple of hours without any worry that their post is a lot farther down then it should be.
The typical hardcore gamer has NO problem when it comes to selling items. They have all day to do it, from in game to other websites.
