Just a few questions:
How is the endgame in Guild Wars? Is it fun? Does it ever have an 'end' where you just do the same thing over and over or do you do many different things unlike WoW?

Also, how is the PvP in comparison to World of Warcraft?

How does profession combos work?

EDIT: Thought this was the questions section, could a mod please move it

the pvp is supposed to be the best yet
i am PVE
here is a start on your answer

there are 25 missions (non pvp) to start
there are 60-70 explorable areas (non pvp, not small) to start with additional content to be added by streaming in

fron GW

Guild Wars, in contrast, is based around your skill as a player. Our maximum level is twenty and you hit that very quickly, after about 20-30 hours of play. ,We call that 'The Point of Ascension'. Almost all of the content in the game and in the future Chapters is only available to Ascended characters, which means we don't have to worry about providing different levels of content. All the good stuff will be available to everyone. It's not our intent to force people onto the levelling up treadmill, so the level cap in Guild Wars is almost meaningless.

Pvp is much more fair than warcraft. In WoW 90% of the fights you get into have an overwhelming numerical advantage for one side or the other, and sometimes one side is already busy fighting mobs and low on health and mana when they get jumped. Often, higher levels jump low levels. Sometimes, the winning team will patrol the area to corpse camp the disadvantaged team.

Guild Wars sets both teams up on equal terms, then lets the game begin. Also, the biggest battle you can have in GW is 8v8

Thanks for the quick response, but I keep getting the sense that when you create your character you choose to be PvE or PvP. Is this true? If it is, can you choose PvE and PvP still?

You start out making a pve character and level them up to max level 20 with a bit of pvp in between if you want to (against other people of similar level). Once you reach 20, you can keep doing pve if you want, or you can go into the high level pvp areas. Also, as soon as you get your first level 20 you unlock the option to create "premade" level 20 characters that start with whatever max level stats you want but can only go into pvp areas.

Pretty much, you're playing through the single player once just to get used to the game, and then you have the freedom to do pvp or pve at high levels whenever you want.

a pve character can pvp but a pvp character is restricted to pvp areas
you will need a pve character to unlock skills items and other enhancements which will then be available to your pvp vharacter

or simply build your PVE and use it for PVP

no loss of items or exp or death penalty
