Use your own cape design?

Well guys and Girls I have a subject here to get your opinion on.

Wouldn't you like to be able to design your own guild emblem. Then actually get to use it on your guild cape.

well the more people that reply to this idea saying that they would like that option for the guild the more likely that it is going to come possibly for your guilds.

The problem with letting players design their own capes?

How do you keep the 12 year olds (or 12 years old at heart) from putting genitalia, swastikas, racial slur words, etc. into their cape designs?

The last thing I want to see when I'm wandering around Ascalon City is a swastika or KKK symbol on some idiots cape.

It has been done in other games but they had such strict sizes (14-16 pixels) making it impossible for anyone to abuse it but on here they would be looking at a lot more then that and everyone knows that silly people will just do silly things, unless they could come up with a way to stop people from abusing it then it would be very cool

So I have to go with No don’t implement it to the game for now

Tis too true. Try doing some normal pick up group from, well, anywhere; and you can pick out the 13 year olds by simply looking at your radar. Some of them need to grow up and realize that drawing genitalia on the map isn't making them look cool.
It would be the same deal with the capes, plus the problem with actually uploading the design to their server could contain malicious code and corrupt their servers, etc.

Two main reasons why it won't happen, regardless of the filters that people think can fix this problem.

They could implement an "approval" system to that though. For instance, they won't let people use names that are obviously offensive to others.

Perhaps they could at least add a butt load more images for the capes. I know I'd love to see a Maple leaf as an emblem. Then I could create a real nice Canadian cape.

Why, have you spoken with someone for Anet and they told you if you get enough people to respond they`d implement this feature? I say no you haven`t and no this feature will never be in the game. If you`d like to possibly get your guild emblem in game, why don`t you try to get Anet to have another emblem contest, that, they might go for.
