New update went up today (Wednesday)
Phades
The double click thing should have been done a long while back. That is one of those things like the hencmen getting stuck in the world geometry that i would have expected to have been crushed in beta.

I thought the phantasy star series was borderline on that particular crossover.

Auction systems take ALOT of work to create. Don't expect such a system until next year if you ask me. I would hope i am wrong though.
I expect everyone at Anet is currently busy with final testing on the sorrows furnace/grenths footprint. Testing protective bond build and nerfing it accordingly etc.
"Yes, lots more mesmers here J. Doe...at least 12"
OK, offtopic sarcasm but i couldn't resist. Can't wait for it really. Should be a good laugh trying to rebuild burnt bridges with Stefan "the king of pullers".

For those with problems appearing online, did you press n and make sure that your status is set to "online" instead of any other status?
Also, again, please remember that ANet was never obligated to roll out significant updates every Wednesday. The fact that they have done so regularly may have made it seem like a promise to the customers, but that's merely a false assumption.

Sir Skullcrasher
this patch seem to fix nothing in particular other than people getting random "error 7" message (which i got one yesterday).
Can't wait till the next patch to come out!

Let me engage in a silly analogy: If you go to a friend's house and he serves you a steak dinner, is it fair to expect that with every subsequent visit? Of course not! We did some major updating on a near-weekly basis, and now suddenly it's, "Where's my #(*%Y^& update!"
We will be making major updates steadily, but please understand we won't be doing it weekly. It's better, we feel, to focus on making significant changes in a broader sweep than to do them bit by bit.
Today's update was a minor one, designed to change a few small but significant bugs. We're hard at work on the Summer Update, hard at work on looking at significant updates to PvP (based on your feedback, of course), and of course we're working on Chapter 2, as well. We're keeping all of those objectives in mind, and you can look for free new content soon, a great new chapter next year, and attention to your feedback on a daily basis.

In the meantime please just implement toggleablle guild capes and pet commands and the all will be good in the world.
What about the problems with people offline? PMs not working? When we going to have a hot fix for it all?

On the other hand, when we have a significant change, we will definitely news post it. I think there's a pretty clear line between newsworthiness and non-newsworthiness, so that's where we are making the distinction.
I do thank you for the suggestion, though, and hope you'll understand my reasoning on the matter.

It's really that simple, and a whole lot tidier, I think, than making news out of housekeeping.

Still this lastest patch was, while small a bug fix, and that's always a good thing. Lag also seems to be at an all time low at the moment. Better to get rid of them bugs sooner then later.
Keep up the good work.

No we have just been sat around for two months with nothing to do in PVE play (Completed everything missions Bonus read previous posts before flaming).
Even a little added quest to keep us busy would have been nice.

looking forward to a possible PVE update and after 4 weeks still nothing can lead to a little dissapointed groan late at night.
Still no actuall confirmed date of when the new summer release is due. Gaile Summers are long and hot and even longer when we dont know when to expect it.
Come on out and give us a confirmed date or dont you have one.
=HT=Ingram
most of the suggestions We have been making. Auction house, Guild enhancements, Blacksmith options, ect... most likely will not happen till Chapter two. they may. but I doubt it. And that's fine by me. I didn't buy the game for what may be there in the future. I bought it for what it was. if that's not good enough for you, then I guess this isn't the game for you. bubye now. bubye..
Oh your still here? what did you miss? the Bu? or the Bye?
BUBYE...

Well thank you and Aria both for treating me like an idiot. No, my status is online, when I can even get to it. Half the time, it tells me that my friends list info is not available. I have a friend who regularly has trouble showing up on the guild roster page, even though he still has his tag and cap and is listed on MY guild roster. His on the other hand........tells him that he's not in any guild. WTF?? I have enough sense to make sure my status is not on away/busy/offline. IT'S BROKEN! |

Diomedes, it's still broken. And ARIA at the very least did insult all of our intelligences' by even suggesting that we weren't smart enough to double check our status. It doesn't happen after every update and it doesn't fix itself when I log off and log back on and it's not that my status is set incorrectly. Now, sometimes I show up, sometimes I don't. At least that's better than appearing offline the whole time I'm on. I'm sure it will get resolved, but it's irritating to me in the meantime. You know the same way a little pebble in your shoe will bug you til you get it out? It's just bugging me and I'm just venting about it!
Drakron
It seens every update now is to break something ... the economy is trashed and the game drops were nerfed to hell.
None of those issues were corrected.
Also I seen several updates screwing up something, I understand that Dansamy sees a bug that may or may not be caused by the update (since I had a similar experiance were I lost my cape and my guild page shown that I was not in a guild and that was before the update).

Drakron, I had to reinvite a member and his friend due to that very same thing! (The friend quit because we "kicked his friend".)

Well the issue end up going away after I moved districts (was in International when that happend) but its not a rare uncommon bug that happens once in a blue moon when going to international district with a PvP character it must be acknowledged and fixed.

I'm starting to wish they'd never post update news. It just brings the complainers out.
Capes? I hope that was a joke because on a scale from 1 to 10 that's not even a 1. I can't believe that the game hasn't even been out a year and you act like it's a right to get actual game updates at all. Most companies are trying to fix problems without adding options in the first year.
People are acting like it's some kind of conspiracy to ruin the game, or worse yet acting like A-Net is stupid.
I think there have been some bad choices, and believe me I'm not a Fan Boi, but there's no excuse to be rude to A-Net in general or especially to an individual that works for them.
There's things I'd like to see and admit that when an update comes out I've been looking for a nerf to the NR build but I'd never be rude enough to accuse them of anything or call them stupid for not doing work to get me what I want.

I'd love a Nature's Renewal nerf, but I just don't foresee that happening.

I Just wanted to thank anet for such a great game and all the hard work they do with the updates.
There is only a couple of things i dont like about this game and thats the :-
1, The limit of moves allowed between servers.
2, People who ruin a quest/mission because they think its fun to do so.
BUT Anet cant please everyone and i dont expect them to.
Good Work lads keep it up and ill look foward to the upcoming patches/expansions.

I have no real complaints with the updates or the game for that matter. Arena-Net at least tries and comes through on fixes, patches, etc. For that I Tip my Hat to them. This is still a fun game to play.
What would make it even more fun would be a Public Display of violaters of the EULA. No different when you are driving down the highway and some jerk cuts you off, or is weaving in and out of traffic at high speeds, then later down the road you see them on the side of the road with a State Trooper right behind them. That is Pure Joy! I laugh at them just like Nelson Muntz on the Simpson's. "Ha-Ha!"
Now if we could see Arena-Net "Troopers" busting people in a city/outpost then executing their character in a near by Arena (That way it is our choice to watch or not watch). Would not that be down right FUN?

* Fixed a bug that was causing characters to stop displaying spell-casting animations if a skill was used twice in rapid succession.
That's the way I like it Now I can pump my skill button as mad for the 2+ cast time skills. Polishing details like this makes me happy.
Some people get a way too much haste in their words.
Ultima Online is the oldest mmorpg (and one of the best so far) and have some little nasty interface bugs that are present for....7 years? The fixing will require a week at maximum but they never made it. Many games have many major problems that stay there forever and make the game almost unplayable, but some persons cry out loud for reasons like "OMG MY PEN WRITES A SLIGHTHLY DARKER THAN THE PREVIOUS ONE GEE RETURN MY MONEY". It is even not laughable - it is sad.
