I admit, I'm prefer gve, but when my guild calls I play. Only some of these games last forever. Its going up and down, looks like a stalemate, untill some players get tired, loose concentration and make mistakes. I think there should be a 30 minutes limit on GvG games to prevent everlasting hide and seek sessions. Who's with me?

We've had a bunch of 45+ minute matches. Sometimes it just happens, for some reason (be it just that shred of extra Guild Lord damage) or the positioning you can defend your lord or the other team can defend theirs (even if you've killed off all of the other NPCs). We really haven't run into any Guild Lord camping Fertile/Symbiosis build.
*evil laugh* That might be a good strategy, just pack a lot of healing + Fertile + Symbiosis + Elementalists (since they rule under VoD!) and sit at your GL until VoD! *evil laugh*
As far as 'if people are serious and want to play a long time they can go to PvE or HoH'....GvG is the pinnacle of Guild Wars PvP, not the Tombs. If you just have a 'few minutes' grab 3 guildies and go to Team Arenas...don't have any friends on go to Competition Arenas...
Victory or Death! at 30 minutes would be too short, you may actually have a fair number of people 'camping' for it to boost their team build over others (just like they bring spirits and use them when they think it gives them an advantage).

I'd be for some sort of limit.. maybe after 60 minutes everything on the board has 50% max HP, with 50% more being removed every 5 minutes until everyone has 1HP. It would allow one team to wipe the other team and the lord a lot more quickly, but it's far enough away that people won't build to hold out for an hour and depend on it.
I'm not sure if this is the record, but our Fertile/Symb newbie training build bumped into another Fertile/Symb build with no offense. One of our warrior newbies dropped and we played for 143 minutes before we won. In the same situation vs War Machine, we lost after 46 minutes when they rushed our GL with VoD up and we couldn't heal as fast as they killed, even with Fertile/Symbiosis/Infuse Health spam and Healing Seed. So, long story short, if you really want the battle to end, hit the GL hard at the 45 minute mark and ignore or shut down their healers.
