Scammed, have pic of money trade

Ok, was getting a run over to copper mines (originally was gonna be thunderhead but had to make a deal with money).

We start going, we make it through talus chute, go into ice dome, die a few times, then when i even MENTION I am gonna ask for my refund, he leaves the game, when I go to whisper him, it says he is ignoring me.

In short, I got scammed.

I gave him 1k to start at droknars.

I WOULD SHOW A DARN PICTURE BUT NOBODY WILL TELL ME HOW TO POST A DARN SCREENSHOT!

The scammers name was *named edited out*, I know cause I put him on my friends list just in case to remember his name.

He is a W/N20, the trade happened just before 10:30 eastern time, he had an ally friend of his named *named edited out* with him also.

As is the rule at the forum, do not name names.

That sucks.

Report it to ANet (support.guildwars.com), but harsh as it may sound, I say live and learn. It's a big game.

Another thing to consider is that even with a screenshot showing you giving him cash to run you somewhere, you really can't prove that at some point you didn't say "hey, Mr. Runner, I think I'm gonna take it from here -- keep the cash and have a nice night." I'm not saying I don't believe you, but I am saying this is a tricky one to prove.. For that reason alone, I think you should edit the names out of your post (think it might be against forum regs too though...)

Luckily all that was lost were a few ones and zeros sitting on a server somewhere and the time it took to put them there

If nothing else comes of this, learn to never pay anyone upfront. Also, was any kind of refund discussed before you left? All terms must be agreed upon before any kind of deal is made.

All you can do is get in touch with ANet and report this scammer. Posting another thread here helps no one. There are already threads about discussing scammers I am sure, so do a search before posting next time. And do not name names in your post.
