Local Media Play had GW retail out for sale

I was walking around a local Media Play store today and what do I see? GW for sale. Ther collectors edition was also out for $79.99. I thought, what the heck and bought a copy. Installed the CD key and created an acount.Now all I have to do is wait for 04/28/05 ro roll around so the servers to go live. Does anyone think NC Soft will be upset about this early release from this local store? There was 1 copy left of the collectors edition and 6 copies left of the regular box. Seems like they have already sold a few copies a full 3 days in advance of the release date......

Dought they will care seeing as the sever is down and no one can log onto it untill they want them too. So what you should do is head out to target if you have one near you and buy a pre order from them its only 99 cents and youll be able to play on the 27th, a whole day earlier and get a pre order item to boot

Like I said. I did not get the collectors edition. I got the regular retail edition for $49.99

Yeah, how do you think I felt when I saw it for sale. Deep down I knew I still wouldnt be able to play it until 04/28/05, but I could not resist installing it and registering it already. Sorry about the post being in the questions section. Guess I got excited also. The regular box is pretty standard. Manual , a few advertisement pamphlets and the game, thats it.

Now thats an idea! Me registering my cd key now shouldnt give me problems right? Im just wondering what NC Soft is thinking getting a full retail version registered this early. Think the store that is selling the copies early will get the hefty fines we all hear about for not waiting for the release date? And another thing, when did this game go gold again? If this store had copies already, Im asuming they got their copies sometime on Friday since the clerk said it has been on sale since yesterday.

Dont think they mind early releases of the game since they control the time you can start playing and all, and the guy at best buy told me that as soon as they got the shipment of games in they were going to put them on the shelf. He said that they didnt set a hard date to put them out for sell just to start selling them as soon as they received them.
