Weapon types?

Is there going to be a big variaty of weapons? Like diablo 2 just had Shiza loads, world of warcraft does also, lineage 2 does have many but no so much differant ones..whats this gunna be like for weapons? And items, what kinds of gear can you wear.

Well for melee weapons we have Hammers, Axes, and Swords. Hammers have the highest damage output but obviously are the slowest. Swords and Axes are both the same speed, but Axes have a larger range of damage. So Swords are more predictable, they usually give out a medium damage output. But Axes are at times very unpredictable, they can do low and high damage. So if your feeling lucky, go with Axes.

I'll be a little simplistic with bows, there's Shortbows and Longbows. Longbows do more damage and have higher range, but Shortbows are faster. Now you may be pushing towards the Longbow side, but don't. If the range is higher, the arrow takes longer to hit and it has a high chance of missing. So both bows are even, well actually all weapons are even.

There are many other different kinds of weapons for casters like Canes and Staves, but I'm not super-field expert there so I don't want to go on about things that may or may not be correct.

okay yeah i know theres those kinds of weapons, but is there only like..for lets say swords "short sword, long sword, calymore" and then some special endgame one? or are there like Hundreds of differant kinds of swords?

No one can say for sure yet since the full game hasn't been released, but there was a good variety of swords in the betas. There was a good variety of all weapons in the betas. Besides, just because it is called short sword or longbow doesn't mean it is like all the other short swords and longbows. Stats on weapons are random.

oh okay..haha yeah i just dont want like everyone to look like eachother..thats Never fun..i hope it is in a way Like diablo, or WoW, where its VERY VERY rare too find 2 characters with the exact same set of stuff...in wow its rare to find people with more than 3 things the same! at least at my lvl it is (44)
