Is necrotic traversal faster than putrid explosion? meaning can you out cast someone every time with it or does that wierd teleporting delay make it not work for interupting putrid explosion.

Technically, yes, since Necrotic Transversal does cast slightly faster according to ingame data.

Practically, no, since Putrid is still fast enough that the person who's normally mashing the Putrid button will now just be mashing the Necrotic Transversal button, which means there still is a lot of luck involved, not to mention that Necrotic doesn't give your team much of an advantage if your team gets it off whereas Putrid does.

So although technically yes, taking Necrotic over Putrid is a very bad idea..what a shame.

Yes, it's faster. We ran it in Tombs as a Putrid "counter." Only problem is, it doesn't really do anything. You're just preventing any team from making use of Putrid, including you.

I may be wrong, but I think the OP is wanting to use NT as a counter to PE. If your guys are all around a dead body, then your team can use NT to exploit the corpse to no real effect before the enemy team uses PE to exploit it to damage you.

The problem is, sometimes it leaves you stranded in the middle of the enemy formation... kind of a bad situation to be in. But yes, it is faster than putrid, and you can mash the traversal key just as much as you can putrid. It's pretty funny sometimes, because you'll be hopping through bodies all across the battle zone. Your teammates should get a kick out of it, that's for sure
