Sorry I tried the search and found similar questions, but not this one. I apologize if it's been gone over too many times.

Anyhow, I know it's not terribly important, but if I create a pvp ranger, what pet does he/she come with? I'd go find out myself but I'll have to axe a PvE character which I'm just not quite ready to do yet. Thanks for your time.

using this thread as its appropriate for the thing I want to ask.

Ok a few of us came up with a interesting concept as rangers with pets and it was fun, but I'm unsure how it will be received...

Requirements... Charm animal (obviously) and low level long bow for targeting with minimal dmg to others pets from it. (normally only takes 1 or 2 shots to get them to attack each other...)

and a closed arena... (we used the team arenas and got all 8 players as rangers...)

Then the fun begins...
BTW I'm breaking the first rule of the club... (Like fight club) we don't talk about Pet fighting...

anyway.. I want to generate more interest in it cause lately the crowd is smaller and smaller.

The concept is basically Pets fighting pets... 1 on 1. or whatever...
Drop some gold for betting... arrange your match... (leaving the gold)
Often the host secures the gold bet for them. but I have seen both leaving it on ground and holding...

Target the challenging pet and make them fight each other. last pet standing wins the pot. Pet skills are allowed but player intervention beyond initial battle setup is not.

Some groups allow comfort animal, but others do not. depends on the agreed upon stakes and arrangement. some consider it for resing the pet after the battle only... and using it in battle is disqualification. However in most cases the host has Revive Animal and only Resurrects those pets in arranged matches.

anyways. just wanted to pass this on... its rather fun, and I have seen some heavy betting going on in some of these matches... the highest I saw was a 4 pet battle, winner take all for 30k... 5k stakes... that means the host footed the extra 10k from side bets... and from what I saw, he had a good haul himself. just for the arranging...

Do you, by any chance, own a pit-bull?

I'm not the first to say it, the sad thing about online games is how they mirror society too closely.

Is it possible to have 18 people and allies on one team...?

In guild wars you have the extra 2 people (thief and lord) and in HoH you have 2 people (priest and hero) most of the time... anyway.

no I don't. lol It kind of started up while looking for a good gambling racket. lol Of course the whole dice thing got destroyed real fast with the cut paste trick... so that was out. and we were doing 1 on 1 betting for a while, till someone brought pets one time and we tried that... and it was like OMG cool!! And its tons more humane then real life pet fighting. lol But yea it was a fluke that sorta turned into a small underground movement.
