i was just wandering that all these people have pets and kepp beating me just because they have a pet against me.

You need to become a ranger primary/secondary to have a pet. There is a quest you will receive, to charm an animal, and that is how you will learn how to do that.
(Some necros call their minions "pets" or "babies" - then you'd have to become a necro primary/secondary!)

unless you just want a minipet - then you can buy one from anotherplayer for 3k on up.

It sounds like you are playing PvP. You need to do one of two things.
1. Create a ranger primary character or
2. Make your secondary ranger
This will allow you access to a fighting pet. You must have Charm Animal equipped on your skill bar for the pet to appear.
