Hey im new too this but i want some nice armour or a sword.

I am presuming that you are still in pre-seering, if so don't worry about the good sword and armor at the moment, just concentrate on doing te quests and experimenting as different class'. You can get new armor in pre-seering if you go and speek to various collectors, and they may want say "5 dull caparaces" for a pair of boots.

Once you seer, (when you speek to Sir Tidus after you have aquired your second proffesion) you can get new armor, and max damage weapons.

Also this is so you don't get conned; you can't buy armor from other characters, as their armor will be custimized for them, meaning nobody else can wear it.

Also, what is your primary profession?

i advise you read some of the info on the site, this will help you no end

in pre searing.. u goto collectors.. to get peices for your armor.. and goto the Weapons NPC to get your sword.
