Evidence for 2 Bots - 19MB big

Ok today i thought i was in luck when trying to get my warrior to do Thunderhead Keep. Such an annoying mission since there aren't any monks around. So anyway I was invited into the group which contained 2 monks and i thought WOW!!! YES!!!

But when it came to the mission, despite being the only tank in the group and having the ability to heal myself, i was never healed once. A few others around me also died, and I was starting to complain to these two monks which didnt seem to do anything.

I observed what skills there were using and it was 'Heal Other' and 'Heal Area'
What kind of monk uses those spells?! Not once did they use Healing Breeze.

So i started to suspect they were bots, and i started to take screen shots of them using the skill over and over again, plus shouting their names out on the team chat.

They never replied, they ran off in the mission, firing their staffs at enemies and using those skills.

One of the rangers said he was quitting since the monks didnt heal, so i took more screenshots.

Then i told on team chat, that i took screenshots and would be be sending it to Anet.

So i went back to town.

After a few minutes i got a response from the 'bot' he said:
"chu duoshao"
I replied saying about the delayed response and again another reason for being a bot
and he relied with the same thing.

So what do i do now? In total all these screenshots get up to 19MB. Being on a 56K Modem, kinda makes things hard to send such a file.

Would the chat screen shots be enough to send to Anet?

I'd send em for sure, maybe you can break it up into a few emails. Freakin bots.

First, I use heal other all the time, not that this was the point of the thread.

But I would definitely send the email to Anet. Maybe u can save the screenshots to a disk and go to the library and send them off??

Anet will take care of the rest

i would convert them to jpgs first, that should greatly reduce their size...
(at least to a tenth of the bmp size)

even ms paint is able to do that.
(open the bmps and use "save as" to save them as jpg)

personally, i think healing breeze sucks. At most, you get healed for 180 hp over 10 seconds, when you can just use heal other, word of healing, or heal area to get 180 hp in .5 seconds and cast it again in another 5 seconds.

I would not say it sucks. HoT (heal over time) is good for at least a few situations,

1. to heal DoT (damage over time).

2. cast it on tank when you expect they'll be getting hit hard in the next few seconds but they are still at high health level.

3. one more heal spell available when you are waiting for other spells to refresh.

4. you can cast direct heal on top of breeze for those occations that the tank is getting more damage then your direct heals can keep up with.

Am I way off, or am I giving away the secret of "HoT"?

I had a bot respond with "sm shi" or something in ember camp.

I tried trading and it was in a trade with another person. I invited the bot to join my team...just me, and the bot joined my team.
Strange actions for a spamming botter indeed.

Report them. Send the names, times and what was happening to ArenaNet if the emails are too big.

Every time I'm in Ember Light or Riverside, it looks like at least a third of the "players" hanging around are bots. But what's the best way to "prove" it? What gives the best evidence and should be passed along to ANet?

Was expecting this yes it is easy to write up a script for the bots to behave as henches that is what they are trying to do now because the farming areas have dropped so this is the next thing they will do.
Take note of the leader too someone had to set it up to get the 2 bots.
Even as a bad healer heal area is stupid if your attacking monsters

Best thing GW can do is flood the game with increase gold and rare drops to make buying gear and gold off ebay useless pointless

I wouldn't call this solid proof... but none-the-less, highy suspect and worth reporting.

All they need to do is write bots that will HEAL YOU. Then you would go into the mission and go "omg, 2 monks that heal me without any attitude and backtalk! I'm the luckiest person in the world!" :P :P :P

well im not a fan of bots, but im also not a fan of jumping to conclusions, its obvious they were not normal players, but from experince i can tell you there is still a chance they were not bots, possibly just some kinda kids who wanted to mess with people...

however i guess reporting could be worth a shot

No it is NOT

In a focus fire team you can cast this everytime a monster goes down before switching to the next target.

Every skill in this game has it's use in the right situation.
