I have seen the posts about monks having 5 Superior Runes equipped (Vigor being 5th) and want to know why the risk on low hp? I bought a healing, divine favor Superios and have a Major Vigor and Domination (which I would like to make superior, but I hear that the LIVE!!!! What skills and what stratagies are used for this?

So far my heal is at 15, my domination is 10 and Divine Favor at 13 with a 1 in smite since I made the monk only to heal and protect others, not farm. I do have another 15 attributes comin to me via a quest after ascending and may go divine favor BUT with a superior Domination AND the 15 pts I could have a 12 and higher on all my skills i wish to focus on.

What is the best thing to have on a monk in PvP btw? I am sure the skill sets are diffrent a tad.

I wish I would have bought the domination last night when it was 13k, now all monk runes run at least 30k!

To answer the topic:
With 100hp and protective bond (you take maximum 5% damage, so 5 damage max from any attack), you can use a spell like healing breeze and your HP will never drop, because you'll be regenerating much faster than the damage you take. This is a big gimmick though, because all it takes is a removal of the protective bond and that monk is dead

I might be wrong, but runes don't work for your secondary profession? - so domintation major rune on Mo/Me, would give u -50 health and no skill bonus?

Your right, and your wrong. You can only use runes from your primary proffession, you cannot even equip runes that are not your primary proffession.

As to the 100hp monks, I run one and they are strickly for farming. Anyone who is foolish enough to pvp with one will die fast to enchant removal.

To the OP: The runes people use are 5 superiors, but they wont use a vigor (they want low hp). You just use two of the same rune to get the negative health benefit, though it wont help your attributes.

The skill "protective bond" (currently) works so as to limit the maximum damage you receive to 5 percent of your health, applied after runes. By loading up on runes, and reducing their health, monks using this skill limit the amount of damage they can receive. As noted above, with such low health, the corresponding damage received is so low that with other skills like mending, healing breeze, etc., the monk becomes essentially invincible while the enchantments are running.
