I think it would be amusing if Necromancers had a skill similar to the Monk's Unyielding Aura but raised that player as an undead player instead. This undead player would move slower but attack with greater undead strength. The undead player would also moan something about juicy brains and have a blurred screen similar to being drunk on ale.

Thought about this too but then the opposite. Make a 'animate dead' spell which raises a corpse to join your side. So you could raise one of your dead enemys (as an NPC). Would also be lots of fun during PvE. Oh yeahm the spell should take prety ling to cast so it would be more likely for the player to be ressed.
Anyway, those were my thoughts

heck the ability for a necro to "rez" would be nicly simply becuase then they revived player could also be the target of undead ally spells.

maintain the enchanment and the guy is alive with undead status. so undead spells will affect them but htey also suffer more from holy attacks.

hm, not bad....
would you be abl to raise the henchies too? hehehe*evil grin*

what i miss most, though, is the cleric skill Turn Undead....and as its similar but opposite, Control Undead, that was for necros.

i like the way clerics (monks if you will) could turn the undead with a wave of their holy symbol and a loud "Begon!" heheh.
if they wanted to make something like that, i could go for it ^^ specialy if they added the necro version, controle, since i could ether order the dedies to bugger off or get them to folow ^^

Raising someone in your own team would be a great idea. The player would act pretty much like a bone fiend (constant health decrease and such). I even like the whole blurred vision thing.

This, on the other hand, I don't agree with at all. This is what minions are for. Way too much room for abuse in PvP. Not to mention players would rather leave the game than helplessly watch their character fight against their own team.

I like raising an ally as a bone minon, or bone fiend, or a new type alltogether, and yes, the lifedrain and doubledamage from holy. The raising enemies, no.

Would be interesting, with a bit more thought and restrictions on the raised...

Verata's Gaze will let you take away enemy minions. Most amusing when it happens.
