INNOCENT players are the ones who usually get banned.

Here is some advises for the so-called "innocent" players, so they don't get banned by ANet.

The realy GW hackers usually don't get banned. For example, if they come up with a particular hack, they normally try it once or twice and stop if it doesn't work. They are smart enough to know that 1 or 2 attempts will look like accident when investigated by ANET.

The "innocent" GW players, on the other hand, will learn about a possible exploit from some stupid websites. When the exploit doesn't work the first time, they will try to exploit again and again and again... After many failed attempts, they are banned.

what on earth is the point of this post?

If people use any exploit they should be banned - how can they b innocent if they are trying to use an exploit??

Post is nonsense

It's strange how everybody who gets caught doing something they shouldn't be doing is mysteriously 'innocent'. Go into a prison and ask the inmates if they are innocent or guilty, and see what sort of responses you get!

Anyone would think they were making it up to try and get off the hook! Dimwits!

yes, change the word "innocent" to "stupid" and the word "hacker" to "clever."

If you're using something that you know to be an exploit you are not innocent. If you do it in a clumsy fashion then you get busted.

Here's better advice to innocent players. Stay innocent. If you're bored with the game so much that you want hacks or exploits, put it down and do something else, read a book (Umberto Eco is treating me rather well at the moment) and if you're frustrated with the game so much that you need hacks or exploits, get better.

Only that the other discussion has nothing to do with exploits and exploits are not hacks all the time. Moreover, if one uses an exploit, one must be prepared to face the consequences.

Kudos for the intention behind the warning, anyway.

You're right. That's why I classified they as the so-called "innocent." They will never admit otherwise.

Your comment in that last paragraph contradiccts the word innocent. Inhale less paste.

Hence the quotation marks around the word "innocent."

I don't mean to start a flame war here.

Although it may sound sarcastic, this thread is merely a warning for all those "accidentally and innocently" stumpled across some exploits on some stupid websites.

The point (if you read the post and the thread) is to warn people AWAY from trying to use various exploits. The serious hackers (who are less likely to get caught) know what they are doing, and know how to minimize the chances of getting caught. But the people who don't know what they are doing try things, screw up, get banned, then whine about how they are "innocent."

The quotation marks were used to differentiate between innocent players (most of us who don't try to exploit, hack, etc) and "innocent" players (those who do, then whine how they are innocent when they get caught.)

It was basically a PSA...

Explain blanket statment with more than quotes so we know what the hell you are trying to say before becoming self-righteous and looking like a fool.

1. It wasn't my "blanket statement" to begin with.
2. Gain some basic reading comprehention before flaming someone because you don't understand what they said.
3. In the end, which of us looks like a fool?

Have a nice day.

nope ... i think its meant to have all of us follow xionic avatars and bang our heads against the keyboard. we all know innocent people are not banned, guilty people are, and by posting on these forums they believe they can muster up enough back and pity supoort that they feel they hold a strong position to flame Anet. Face it, they are behind the bars for a reason, screw em. If I get the bar for exploiting anything out of the norm, I deserve it to. I'm just man enough to face the fact. Unfortunately not many follow my lead on these boards, instead they revert to immature child like whining which every one in there god givin minds are sick of hearing ... bah ... take it like a man!

I comprehend that you do not comprehend what you said in your post that I questioned, and I comprehend that you assume that because I disagreed with your nonsense, you believe me to be posting a flame at you. I also believe you need to read your own post several times then try again.

What you said was a blanket statement. How you cannot see this is not a mystery, as I am fairly certain that you know this already. I think you are suffering from denial.

And people say the PvP vrs PvE discussions are bad. This is the most pointless thread I have ever read on these forums.

Once upon a time..

Again, ANet takes its bannings very seriously. Whether or not you believe so does not change the reality of the situation. With neither evidence nor any sort of proof other than just an exclaimed opinion, these are just empty words. In the future, please do not start empty, pointless threads like these.
