Can you change your name or last name?

If so, how? If no, will we ever be able to?

No and probably no because changing your name is just weird...i could do with a look change though, like a maker-over wizard

name change or face change, i highly doubt they'll add those features, but if they do, they can provide an excellent gold sink (10k to change your hair/color etc, 50k for the name)... but then again how does the "ingore/friends" list work with names keep changing back and forth?

If they did it, I'd imagine it would work just like your friends list and guild list does. When your friend or guildmate is online as another character, you just see the new name.

if you add someone, and he deletes the char you added him with, he will still be in your friendlist (under the original name, with the current name in brackets).

Yes, same with the guildlist. My husband found that out the hard way when he created a 'learning' character and gave him silly name. He was invited into our guild under that name. The character is gone, but everyone in the guild sees Erdeid Woofwoof in the guildlist to this day.

I remember back in my old days of runescape there was a makeover wizard. Id think it would be a great addition to the game.

Actually, you can change your name....
But only if ANet sends you a warning about an improper character name.

I believe they give you 1 warning and allow you to change the name. After that, they will just delete the character.

Don't know about changing your looks, though.
