Last weekend was my first BWE and i played out a warrior. Now i am sure i am doing something wrong or i missed something but i often had difficulty getting the my warrior to hack and slash. Often i would click on an opponent and find myself standing next to him picking my nose while i got bashed. After enough random double clicking and keyboard mashing i would start hacking away.
Although this got me through well enough it felt bad, my question is what is the non-random key or button i should be pressing to make my warrior slash?

check the sticky on hotkey list maybe your prob will be fixed if you use the keyboard keys? or is it maybe just your mouse...

you may be clicking on the ground instead of the target. if you prefer to use the mouse for targetting, one thing i often do is hold down "Ctrl" which will make the names of mobs appear above their heads. while holding "Ctrl", if you click their name, you will call the target and begin to attack. others can press "T" to attack your target. if somone else has already called a target, you can press "T" as well. If you have already selected a target, via "T", shift+click, "Tab", "C", etc. but are not attacking it, press the "space bar" and you will take action.

I could have sworn that they changed it around so that you now have to double click or press spacebar while targetted to autoattack.
Kaia
Yep it's Control + double click or Control + Space to call targets now
Auh
They aren't talking about calling, I think.
They're talking about auto-attack.
They're talking about auto-attack.

Then double-click or use the space bar to initiate attacking a selected target.

If you get blocked or something gets in your way on it will kill auto attack i just make sure i pound spacebar when i reach a target and i manually run up to a target if "traffic" is heavy. on a side note i found it easier to dodge people who were trying to block me when i was in first person mode i didn't get caught on them as much.
