Put a timer on enchantment, hex, etc

I think it would be nice to see how much time the enchantment, hex, stance, shouts, or whatever on me is left. I know that could be solved w/ a separate timer at hand. However, let's face it, not many ppl want to do that; plus you can't keep track of everything that's on u. Why not just implement it into the game ui? Make it looks like a skill recharge or something that fades away. The program has the information anyways, why not release it to us, the gamers? Anyone else?

Yeah that's not a bad idea. Probably not on the top priority list though.

As it stands right now, the little enchantment/hex/stance starts to flash for 2 seconds when it's about to expire.

I AGREE!

Make enchantments/hexes/conditions/spirits have a duration clock just like spells have a recharge clock. Great idea. So you can tell at a glance how much longer they will last.

I assume you're referring only to those conditions on yourself and not on every other player/mob in the battle... otherwise how would you display it? Lots of little floaty numbers around affected chars? ICK

Doesn't that take away an advantage from the person that cast the hex on you? If I know that blackout will expire in just 2 seconds I won't call for a hex removal as compared to a full 6 second blackout.

Part of the battle is not knowing that exact information. I appreciate that knowing how long self inflicted conditions will last might help, but anything that an enemy puts on me should remain unknown.

good point. so, no hex timer then, but enchantment timer would be nice.

An Enchantment timer that tells you how much time is left on other players you cast on would help alot!

You already have that info, though, don't you? You just have to pass the mouse over the condition/hex and it will show the specific numbers for that hex rather than the "generic" (like "3-24 seconds") ones... The generic ones are shown only in the "skill monitor" thing (ie: when the guy's casting that skill).

Good point elder. There's another post for this to timer the scrolls as well. They could all be combined in one patch. So when you mouse over the time remaining is in the description. Doesn't sound like to hard an update. And there could always be the option to turn it off if you think it could cause clutter.

I like it.

I'd say use the same technique on recharging skills since we're already familiar with it.

hmm. I guess you have the information, but the counter would be extending that info. Giving you the "how much time left" would be new. Sure I can notice that someone just cast a hex on you with a duration of 10 seconds and then notice the little watch you've got beside your monitor and know it will end at 35 seconds on the watch.

Would it be nice? Sure. I'm just not sure if I like giving that edge to the opposing team.
