Havn't found any previous threads about this so I am presenting it to you guys.
Just like we have templates for quickselecting our weapon (F1-Fx), I think it would be a good idea to quick select a template of skills in town. For example, I can press Shift-F1 for my running skills to appear (all 8 on the bar, saved), Shift-F2 (my healing skills), Shift-F3 (my smiting skills) etc.
This would save having to memorize my skill layout and taking the time to scroll through the menu and remembering if I used a skill or not all the while a party is destined to head out quickly.
Skills: Quick select template (when inside town)

Oh, I have been longing for a selectable skill bar. I need to switch my monk's skills around every time I go to a mission with a group, instead of henchies, so it's really annoying to always keep asking people to wait and switching skills.
Not even talking about PvP, I made just a PvP monk only because I was tired to switch skills so often.

I don't think the F5-F8 keys are in use... wouldn't be too hard to code them in I would think? |
Still the DEL, HOME, INSERT, Page Up, Page Down, and END keys don't seem to be bound to anything... maybe those could be used instead.

Great idea since each area holds different advantages for different skills and weapons. Though I think the discussion of which keys to assign is rather futile since you would likely be able to assign any key(s) you want. Maybe even have a menu system where you store your favorites and easily update them as better skills become available etc
Just add a tab to the skills window or something for that I would suppose.
A similar system was used in Tribes. Lots of config types for your character so you could setup presets to quickly change between them by either keypad or selecting/configuring in a window

And yes, this is both a statement of my disapproval of repeating threads AND an indirect means of support-
There're tons of threads on this, and very little (if any) opposition. It's a minor quality of life improvement, and has no negative aspects to the best of my knowledge.
