Swords and Adrenaline

Appologies if this sounds a little silly, but it's something I've been wondering about for a while. My main is a warrior/ranger and I use swords because... um... I like swords! But I've noticed that very few (if any?) sword skills use adrenaline in place of energy. Granted, I'm only level 10 (I keep restarting) and haven't seen a lot of the skills, but adrenaline seems like one of the warrior's primary functions. Am I spreading my energy too thin and wasting my warrior by specializing in something that doesn't use it?

The sword line doesn't have as many good adrenal skills as, say, axes, but it still has its share. Axes have a bunch of good adrenal skills, but few if any good energy based ones so they end up choking on adrenal recharges. There presently isn't a balanced weapon, in terms of energy / adrenaline, so just pick one and do your best with the scarce resource.

Yeah, each weapon has it's good and bad points, none being better than the other two. Severy Artery + Gash is a nice adrenaline only combo and you can get it before leaving Clean Ascalon.

Up until level 20 it's pretty easy to level and get those attribute refund points, so it's certainly not impossible to try all three weapons in the same life of a warrior. Not to mention you have plenty of skill points to try some of each.

Oh, that's certainly not true - Hammers are absolutely, positively godawful. You'd have to have a drunk mother who has problems holding on to things to use a hammer.

Swords and Axes are competitive with each other, though. You can make arguments for using either - Swords use more energy, Axes more adrenaline, and you're mixing and matching in either case.

There are many good adrenaline skills for swords. The biggest difference between sword and axe skills is that most of the sword skills focus on adding additional damage, whereas axes inflict more conditions. Hammers do knockdown, but they tend to require more adrenaline, and most of the good adrenal skills for hammers cause you to lose all your adrenaline. Axes have some fairly nice adrenal damage buffs, but except for Executioner's strike, they're mostly all Elite. Even so, Cleave is a very nice damage-buffing adrenal skill that you can use quite often with its low cost.

In general, if I want a warrior to deal damage, I'll go with swords, and if I want disruption I'll go with axes.
