I HATE WMO I HATE THEM

I was doing the Desert Dunes mission today. While running from Augury rock some idiot kept signing linkin park songs the whole time.

We get to Desert Dunes and the guy leaves. A W/mo joins and as soon as we start the mission, what does he do? STARTS SIGING LINKIN PARK

This guy helps us kill the first 5 Cenatuars alright, we move on and we get to the first Wurm. The guy just stands there trying to tank 5 Cenataurs and a wurm, the wurm kills the Cenatuars, the rest of the group runs past him while the idiot stays back and lets the wurm blast him, shouting "WHERE YOU GOIN?!?!?"

We get up to the wurm and kill it, while another ranger sits back and tries to tank 3 Cenatuars. The wurm dies and this guy, the W/mo is saying "YOU GUYS RUN AHEAD U R DUMB ----S U LET ME DIE AND blah blah blah".

Well, hes being a jerk but we go to ress him and the ranger anyway and BOTH OF THEM JUST RUN AWAY IN THE OPOSIT DIRECTION AT THE SAME TIME. What's that about??? So we go back, they and the good warrior die becuase they're stupid and so the mesmer solos the boss and gets us to the cutscene.

Well, as soon as we res I'm in a frenzy about this guy and he just leaves. All being that I turned the Local chat off, his prefered setting, he could have said something.

So anyway, I just die and leave becuase we're already down three people. So I messaged the guy, at the time i thought he was trying to snipe this wurm with a bow but APPEARENTLY, as he said, he was standing there with his sword getting beaten to death.

After saying "WHat were you doing, just letting it pummel you?" and he replies "YEAH dat seems to be teh theme of your party". Yes, it was, becuase of the crappy monk sub classes that made up 1/3 of our group.

Alot of W/Mo's are pretty bad, but that stereotyping is why I didn't choose W/Mo for my warrior. I've seen a LOT of great W/Mo's that were pretty damn capable of doing their job...

Ah, bad PUGs have been around since the dawn of online gaming. There were idiots in the days of MUDs,there are idiots in MMOs, and there will be idiots in the days of alternate reality gaming. Let's face it, humans suck.

i play a warrior /monk so i can help the healers out and not have to worry about my tanking ass losing health as fast...also, rebirth was the deciding factor. I play a monk as well and know how helpful it is when ur team tries to heal themselves and u can preserve some energy and or help the pitiful +5 healing breeze and make it a 10.

After awhile the guy was messagin me by mistake, appearently to his guild, saying stuff like

And at one point he said...
"Ill help you dry dem off"

I mean, alot of people who play as Warrior seem to act like they do drugs. They obviously play these build becuase they *think* it takes the least ammount of effort.

I know how you feel, mate. It can almost drive one to insanity. But there are many good W/M out there. It is just that the bad ones always seems to be the ones we notice.

When I did the Galrath 4K XP quest (sigh! When the game was still exciting) I did it with my N/M friend and a W/M I never had met before and the rest was henchmen..
He was really good, the W/M. Knew his limitations - what a man always should - and we went through that quest with ease.

I feel bad for some of the good W/M because people tend to compare them with their last failed PUG mission or the ones that shouts in caps: "EXPERIENCED TANK WARRIOR LOOKING LFG". I know I did and still does, sometimes.

When we were running to Desert Dunes the guy kept stepping on and off the teleporter and resetting the combo. And everytime he did it he'de say "You're doing it wrong!"

On the subject of rangers, I was looking for a group to HoH, I adevertised my build and selected a few groups in the area but went away to the kitchen for a second.

As I came back i sw that I had just been invited to a ranger team that I randomly picked by mistake. They went as soon as I got back, so I thought "Oh well, might aswell make the best of it" so I said "I'll call".

I called the first monk to come out, mind you we have 3 ranger, 1 necro/ranger(?), three monks and myself.

"I'm attacking Unworthy Monk!"
"OMG! NOOB ATTACK THE ELE"
*They attack ele for 5 seconds while he gets healed by 2 monks*
"Why? Ward against elements and meele doesn't effect you"
"I'm using Irresistable Blow on Unworthy Monk"
*Monk dies in 5 seconds*
"OMG! DIS IS NOOB"
*Ghost dies* (Appearently the 3 healing monks stopped healing )
*I leave*

Really, I got a really good HoH group last night but today I'm always getting lousy stuff.

I use a W/Mo.

The trick of a W/Mo is using monk enchantments to gain extra adrenaline and reduce damage ... its a very good build because warriors end up not having to use 8 of the skill slots to be effective, they can be effective with just warriors 3-4 skills.

Problem is W/Mo builds were put up as a effective build so you get a lot of people without a clue WHY they are a good build running then, same happen with a lot of builds.

LOL i'm guessing like 2/4 of the game have W/Mo's because that's mostly what I see in mission areas. My theory is people who pick warriors are lazy but like the warrior style. So when faced for a second profession they find the easiest one to find and do which is in Ashford Abbey.

My theorie is that most people think "Whoa! Dude, a Paladin!! That's like being a Jedi except in the Crusades!! AWESOME"

Really, I'm not saying that W/mo is a bad build, just that I can tell who not to pick becuase of it. Most W/mo don't know how to play their build from what I've seen

If it weren't for dumb W/Mo - I wouldn't have so much fun using Unyielding Aura. Ever pull UA when they're just about to pick up a nice drop? One joker had to lie there with his max stormbow drop about a foot out of his reach. (No. I didn't jack his drop - I rezzed him - I'm sinister but not cruel.)
