The Hell of Hell's Precipice

Alright. It seems that I can't get through Hell's Precipice with "normal" humans. So then, I'm forced to resort to using the henchmen. They, of course, prove to be more capable fighters than any random anonymous morons I could scrape up from the starting point. However, when I reach the end and have to shut down the portals, there's no way I can get rid of all three of them and still remain capable of fighting off the Lich. Sneaking around eventually ends up with me getting swarmed and killed, and slamming into the main battlegroup bullheadedly gets us killed just as easily. Is there some method of doing this that I just haven't caught onto yet?

You have to pull and attack the titans from the portal area 1 or 2 at a time. It takes awhile but it is the safest method. Only after all titans are gone should you attack the portal wraiths.

pretty much what lost said. at some point, the titans stop spawning from the lava area. each time one gets near all i do is pull it and focus fire on it. when a small group gets near, you pull it and focus fire. keep repeating this and this mission shouldn't be a problem. i finished this mission and bonus with henchies.

Yeah, I did the mission with full team of henchies and it was fairly easy.

It's just a matter of pulling small groups of titans away from the portals until there's none left.

When I finally beat this one(and the bonus!) We were pretty aggressive about attacking the titans as they came out of the lava. Spared us a lot of trouble later because the massive hordes around the portals weren't quite so massive, except for the very farthest portal from where you enter that area- those guys were too far away to try interdicting. Of course, our team was reasonably intelligent and could recover from killing a single titan and its spawn pretty quickly.

But yeah, pulling a handful of titans away at a time, and reducing their numbers early on before they build up to massive amounts, those are probably the best tactics.

another piece of advice:
when henching this certain spot, DONT use a Longbow for pulling, but your aggro circle. attack in the last moment, to give the henchies their commands.
