Skill bar size?

Saying that such weapons would be priceless without knowing how anet would implement them is stupid. If implemented correctly, say, all blue/purple/gold weapons and some of the related upgrade items give this bonus, then people would be clamoring for these objects, but there are already so many different rare objects that most advanced users would be able to afford them.
The only ones would not be able to afford such weapons would be newbies, but if my idea adds another dimension of character development, then its a good thing. Besides, working with only 8 skills for a while will teach people the value of that 9th skill.

so your saying a person new to the game should know that they should farm forever(just like in any rpg i guess) this game was supose to be different. it even said so on the box!.
and besides have u seen what anet did to the market system. implemented correctly my A--. So far the only thing i think they did right was nerfing the farm areas so everything wouldn't be worthless when everyone was able to farm.
Plus the value of a ninth skill.... hmmm.. whats that to a person who has only been able to use eight.... priceless!

i don't think your idea is awasome.Period.(lots of periods). . . . .
i think the skill bar is fine. the eight limit gives u a challenge. pick and chose and learn u can not have it all. and u know that if we increaase the skill bar now someone new to the game down the line would want another skill slot.

I personally think the skill bar is fine....and to increase its size only means a lot of time spent rebalancing the game by the GW team. If anything had to change skill bar related however, I would say allow 8 skills like there is now, but put a 9th slot for a capture signet once you get one. If you capture a skill with it you dont get to use 9 skills until town, that skill simply cant be used until you go back to town and reassign it to one of the 8 slots.

The skill bar is indeed fine, although I liked the old system they had during beta. The one that allowed you to use a charm or somesuch to cast a spell/use a skill temporarily, or use it just once.
Anyways... the reason that your bar has 8 slots, is because all skills are tied to rings.
So... I guess, grow another finger?

I can see everyones point. I agree more slots would unbalance the game a tad. Not that much though.
I always seem to be one slot short when swapping out my skills. *sigh*
There is always one more skill you feel you need.
With me it is: "Should I bring my skill cap? Or should I bring another healing spell." Lately I have been bringing the extra healing spell and it has paid off big time.
