I was wondering if anyone could give me a list of the definitions used on this forum, you people seem like a friendly community, but I may sound n00bish here, but wtf is WaW, PUG etc. So to help me and anyone else new to the forums, a list of definitions would be splendid .

WaW = Worlds at War. This is a game mechanic in which if a team wins the Hall of Heroes, everyone from their chosen area can access high level PvE maps.

PUG = Pick Up Group. Just random people you put together to make a group to do anything, might it be a PvE map or a PvP zone.

There's this although it doesn't include any of the definitions you're looking for.

Barkam already got them, though. WaW may or may not be restricted to just winning the Hall, there might be more that we just haven't seen yet. Or more to come later.

Some in-game acronyms you might have trouble with:

WTS - Want To Sell
WTB - Want To Buy
WTT - Want To Trade
LFP - Looking for Party
LFG - Looking for Group/Guild

HoH - Hall of Heroes, highest level of the Tombs PvP tournament.
Pre-Searing - green ascalon, Guild Wars before the Charr perform the Searing.
Post-Searing - everything after that point.
LA - Lion's Arch.

I know one of the other fansites has a listing, I just can't tell you which one.

Thanks a lot, and sorry for putting it in the wrong forum, I didn't catch it when I glanced through.

Blackie's thread was burried for some reason. If he ever gets around to updating it, it could be useful so it's stickied. And don't worry about getting the forum wrong, you're far from the first and that's what mods are here for, after all.

Question asked and answered, this thread's closed.
