13 fame in 28 hours

This is ridiculous! I have 13 fame after doing the tombs for about 28 hours! I've mainly been doing air spiking, and I have gotten some excellent groups (and I'm quite good myself), and yet I never progress. At this rate, and I might make rank 3 in a couple years What can I do as an air ele, or is this normal?

Spike PUGs are rarely orginised enough to do well at all. You may be able to do a lot of damage by yourself, but you have the have the whole team cooperating on each spike otherwise it's all for nothing.

To put it bluntly, either your team(s) isn't/aren't good enough, or you're not good enough.

Spike damage revolves entirely around the ability of a team's entire offensive bulk being able to focus fire with large amounts of damage in a very short amount of time. This almost always requires extreme precombat coordination, a competent target caller (and target followers), and voicechat (TS/Vent).

Even "great" spike teams are having a hard time. They've been played a ton and people know how to counter it and often carry the skills required and know when/how to use them because they have a lot of practice.

If you are in a PUG and just trying to farm fame, not win the HoH I suggest killing unworthy, if you get underworld win it, soon as you win you suicide in mounds or whatever you get put in next and repeat.

you cant get into good groups until you are rank3+, then its easier to get fame.

Spike groups just plain and simply arn't good anymore. The next time I loose to a spike team with our guilds normal build I cry.

lol my guilds feels the same way nowadays. Everytime we are defeated by a spike build, we pretty much stop playing for that entire day. Although I have seen some spike build interpretations out there which are hard to counter..

Spike teams are easy to defeat. I am air ele too but I try not to get into spike groups even if they are rank3+.

hehe i wonder why there are still air spike broups in the tombs.
All they do is feeding Rangers, nothing more.
Its FAR away from a good build, and CLOSE to "lololo Wa;Mo ids the best class because it does the most damage".

I eat Air spike builds for breakfast!

spike teams have some interesting potential if played very well. Of course with fertile common, and edenial so strong the metagame is heavily against them.

Bad teams are easy to defeat, no matter what build. It's just not as obvious with spirit spammers cause they take forever anyway.

As for fame, meh, don't worry too much. Fine a good group of people, guild or mix, to play with and you'll find your results much better. I never play with people I don't know at all because it's almost always a waste. Hell, in the few times I have, the group lost to the unworthys. Some people are just THAT bad.

Learn to call, help the group and react fast. Then download vent and ts (No mic required, just for listening) and advertise for a TS or Vent spike group.

The only groups I've gotten over three fame in a day with were all balanced teams.

I have played about an hour/hour and a half of PVP (since faction has been introduced)and have reached over 100 faction.

Actually, PvPers are saying that those things are really boring as well, and that's why so many are leaving until those things (and skill acquisition problems) are fixed.

The problem with spikers is that they are VERY easy to spot, same with draw condition spammers, and mass rangers.

In the fleeting seconds before engagement, you can easily spot 5 Eles, or 1 warrior and 1 or 2 e/mo's, and you automatically begin your counter before they can do any damage. Discreetness is a token to success when everyone knows about every build and its counters.

Tombs arent worth of playing at all atm. Unless you run spirit spamming build you arent gonna farm much fame.
