If I'm going to sell it I wouldn't check the price...

that is the most concrete pricecheck you can get -> someone willing to pay that price for it. so that is the price floor.

If your not planning on selling it who cares what it's worth. I'll pay ya 100kfor it outright :P

Guys people P/C things not necessarily JUST to sell. Sometimes I base my decision on whether or not I want to sell something based on the P/C. If the P/C is low, for example, then I might just give it to a friend instead of wasting my time trying to sell it.

Regardless this is the P/C forum. So is it worth more? Prob so, as Nef prob wants a good deal and pay a price cheaper than what its actually worth. So instead of bidding in the ETC forum give him an accurate P/C and when he wants to sell it he'll put it in the sell forum.

For the most part PCs here are a joke. I have asked for PCs and gotten zero responces for some stuff I know is worth a lot, then I have had guys tell me I have something worth like say 10-15, then in game they whisper and offer 100K plus to buy it. If it were worth that much then say it is worth that much in a PC, don't low ball just to try and "steal" it.

I have found that a PC is basically worthless anyways. You can offer a price and either they take it or leave it. Start high, sometimes you get luaghed at, sometimes they haggle slightly, sometimes they pay right off.

Side story: I sold a max fiery sword (8 req) for 2K the other day, after the sale the guy PMS me back laughing says it is worth 3K. Actually might be worth 2500, but big deal, I sold it and have room for something else. A plat isn't going to make or break me I have almost a million in gold and about 50 ectos and a few rubies and shards. And countless weapons and upgrades filling 4 characters.

A lot of people just like feeling like they got over on someone, that makes the game exciting for them I guess. I like killing 8 monsters and seing mutliple golds and purples on the ground, doesn't happen anymore, but that is why I play the game. Idon't try squeezing a few plats out of someone if they need the item and I don't.

Sorry for the rant/highjack but it is ridiculous sometimes what people do in a GAME.

I think it is an evaluation thing. There are items that worth nothing or very less to others, but others may consider it godly. , so wild pc range.

Then an offer becomes the best way of price check. Instead of something say "I think it is 3-5k", or "wow! that must be worth 100K+", a concrete offer gives the price floor which is a much better way to pc.

This shield is good, but I don't see a real high price for it. Anyone offer 100K for mine, I'll fedex this to your door overnight. Again, -2 dmg 10% = -0.2 dmg, -3dmg 6% = -0.18dmg... how is that godly...

The whole point is if he wanted to sell it he could put it in the sell forum with a reserve on it. All he is asking here is how much it is worth, ballpark, and is not expecting offers.

Now some people post P/C's here and people bid and they sell it to that person, but really that is not what this forum is designed to do.

But whatever, it really doesn't matter.
