Whats da deal!(UW)

The other day i solo killed almost every thing from LA to Toa(temple of ages ).
I camed a crap load of gear and 7k , so get there with my ranger , join a team with a bunch of people , turns out we got our asses chewed up , spit out and handed to us on a plate. so i go in again i pay the 1k , 8 of us go in and we do just fine , and i see no drops sept for glittering dust and gold. im like wtf , so after that i make a 5 traper team wit my guild. We own every thing like it was a pitbull and a palmeranian. but still no drops but dust and a lil money. we clear out UW and we get bored.

so the day is over and i have the 7k gettin there and lost bout 2k going in UW. How is it that i get more money going there then actually goin in. did they nerf the place cause the monk solo build? or has it allways been like dis.
im really upset , its like there is no point fightin for favor!

thats a shame , we have to pay for how they made the game. atleat nerf the monk its not UW thats the prob its the MO.

i don't understand why everyone expects good drops every time. i got 9 ecto in 3-4 hours or so, the drops aren't nerfed. sometimes you'll get 2 ectos from smites and sometimes you won't get any. the drops have declined since the game came out, but nothing significant has changed in the drops in weeks. ecto still costs the same to buy and sell as it has for weeks now, just keep trying.

yes i agree with vandalt the drops are random... really random one time i got a black dye and a couple of ectos and a gold sword then i get dust and remains you just have to keep doing it until you get some half decent drops

and what about monsters that drop nothing at all ?

ive done 15 smite runs in UW and absolutely nothing of any valuable has droped for me except for 2 blue dyes , wich were 3 days apart.

keep trying, my first attempt at the uw i got an ecto and a gold max dmg storm bow (at the time i didnt know that storm bows where expensive and the mods werent very good so i sold it to the merchant...luckily i knew about ecto and now i get about 1 ecto for every 4 or 5 runs...so i gave up and i just farm in other places

back in the first month the game was out, ecto could drop in piles. back when no one knew about the fissure armor ecto dropped alot, so did good max dmg weapons, none of the pre searing crap dropped guild wars was fine the way they made it, A-net should stop going and nerfing everything just because people go there alot.

why else do people go to the UW? either to try to beat it for exp and bragging rights, or drops. and for a while now, you could get better drops in the great northern wall than in the UW.

I go in UW for the storm/eternal bows for my ranger. Yet to get 1. Only seen 1 drop out of alot of runs and nearly clearing out. All i get is remains. its nice money but i want items that i can use. O well ill just keep trying.

It's the Underworld... you expected Crystal Dinnerware of Giantslaying to drop?

I solo the underworld all the time on my monk. find 2-3 ectos per, tons of useless eternal shields/bows and tons of halfmoons and storm bows i sell to merchant..

ijust like to say thanks to all monks becouse of them im rich lol

since they started finding out how to solo underworld iv got so rich i have 1mil and im trying to find out how to hold more lol. i would give it to my guild but they might keep it lol

Invest it in ectos if you havent already.

Doubtful considering a complete clear of the UW will net 0-2 ectos on average. You may get 2-3 ectos in one run, but consistantly? Finding that many ectos means I'm either seriously unlucky or you are seriously lucky.

Or that he's full of crap...but, I haven't reached the Underworld yet, so I can't say exactly.

It just sounds like everyone is tired of the game not spoon-feeding them helpful items to me...sure, they can be nerfing certain territories, but that just means you have to work harder. It may try your patience, but that's when you just stop playing for a little bit and then come back.

Ill take all those storm bows and eternal shields/bows off ur hands for you. I still havnt gotten any of those to drop for me in all my UW visits. all i go there for. Forget ecto. I want storm/eternal bow for my ranger cuz it looks sick.
