(This was originaly sent to the support ppl , I didn't read carefully on where to post suggestions :P)
During the April beta weekend event, me and my clanmates (SoW-Sojourners of War) were just throwing ideas around, mainly just random things we thought would be helpful to a guild and guild hall. We started off discussing what other purposes the guild hall had, other than guild vs guild action, and a place to have meetings and the like... Not much came to mind, which lead to us throwing out ideas that would be really useful to have in the guildhall.
Our best idea was to have some type of drag and drop interface for all guild leaders inside the guildhall. Enabling the guild leader to place outfitters, smiths, crafters and other misc NPC's where he pleased in the guild hall. We decided it would take a whole lot of programming in order to accomplish this idea though. (even though its awesome!)
Another idea was merely a smaller less fun version of the first. We got in real deep with this idea too. Have the same person who sells the guild halls at Lion's Arch (the only one we found) be able to sell the leader an NPC he could place at his own demand in the guild hall, who at random would display text over his head: something about guild meets, major updates in guildwars, etc. And the guild leader, after perchasing this, would be able to somehow bring up a new dialog box and type in a list of things this "news shouter" would be able to say.
Just suggestions, and thanks for such a fantastic game guys... good job!

You can already give announcements to your guildmates (I believe officers, as well as the leader, can do this). A little message will pop up in the chat-window everytime a guild member logs in.
Not that the news crier guy isn't a good idea, but it's not entirely necessary as they already have that system in place (they just need to add more space!).
