I agree fully with you! The only way is to start anew.

But IMO it's impossible to delete all money in the game as this would create inequality. Some people already spent the money or converted it into dyes/ecto/whatever. Thus you can't really start anew

So the only real solution is to have FIXED PRICES.
If the prices stay on a level you will be forever able to buy anything for the same price. Why would you then want to buy it from the players higher if the supply is infinite and the prices constant?

I can't believe tha amount of rubbish talked here about the problems with the economy.

It is caused by botters
It is caused by the low life monk farming builds
It is caused by America having favor too much
It is caused by rich players or guilds controlling the markets
It is caused by monsters dropping too much gold
It is caused by EBay

The high price of superior monk runes is caused by the low life monk build. The problems with the price of all other runes, materials, and dyes is faulty NPC trader algorithms which were broken in July 13th update and made even worse in the August 3rd update.

I can't believe Anet have let this stupidity continue for almost a month now.
