One of the points of this was to have it transferable between your characters, and showing your experience really can't do this. Besides, to me, once I hit level 20, there is no going "above" it. I gain more skill points, but that does not mean that I have leveled up.

I suppose you just made a case for RTSFirebat's statement about lording it over others. If you never give someone the chance, they will never get any better.

See above.

I would like to make a small correction to that though, it is very hard, if not impossible, to find a group
that is organized, or that has a decent plan with people if you are not rank 3. From what I have seen, there are 3 kinds of HoH groups. Guild Groups, which either need no outside players, or if they do, they state exactly what they need. Pick-up groups, who take anyone anytime, or take only classes that are the ones they need but ignore rank, and semi-pick-up groups, who include things like "must be rank 3" or "must have teamspeak".
The difference is, if things became bad for a PvE'er, the player can grab some henchmen and take on the mission. This is not an option in HoH, so it becomes harder and harder to find a group. At some point, it will be impossible for a new player to win HoH because all experienced groups will refuse to take anyone below rank 3, and at that point there will no longer be new ideas coming into the HoH environment, but we are not here to go into great detail on this, I use it as an example of why you might be reduced to taking henchmen.

Last but not least, as with the /rank command, and all other / commands for that matter, this is purely a cosmetic feature, but one that I think would be very nice for those of us who play more PvE than PvP, yet still wish to show off our accomplishments

They both say basicly the same thing, just with different words.
I can think of no polite way to say this, so please do not take to much offense. You do not decide what is better for the long term, there are going to be updates you do not like, there probably already have been. Does that mean that this would be something stupid to add? Not to me, after all, they added Dwarven Ale didn't they? You'll also notice that they did add the rank command for PvP'ers, though it has only one use: Proving that you have some experience. It adds nothing to the game, except giving some players the drive to continue with HoH so that they can use this command.
It is my belief that everyone, no matter how new they may be, deserves a chance to improve themselves. Sadly, I think this opinion may be in the minority for the main population of Guild Wars, so you are correct RTSFirebat, it may be used to lord over others if it is ever brought in.

Correct me if I am wrong, but if you complete a mission's bonus, a sword going through from right to left appears, if you have completed the mission, you have one from left to right. Complete both and you get both swords, so if a mission has a right to left sword, you would not need to do the bonus on it.
I now feel like an old windbag, so if you actualy read all of that, thanks for taking the time.
