Max Attribute Level

I've seen the various threads which speak about being able to boost a primary profession attribute level up to 16 (base max of 12, +3 for sup. rune, +1 for headgear). But how does that affect the skills associated with that attribute?

For example, I have a 20th level healer monk with the base max of 12 in Healing Prayers. I also have the +1 headgear and a major healing rune for a total of 15 in Healing Prayer. However, I have noticed that it appears my healing prayer skills are already producing max (I may be misreading the effects). At level 15, my Word of Healing does 80 for the initial heal plus 100 for the below 50% bonus. According to the Prima Guide, those are the max heals for this skill, yet my Healing Prayers is only 15.

If, apparently, my heals are already performing at max efficiency, why should I bother getting a sup rune of healing?

Remove the armor piece and the headgear and look at your skills; you'll notice that with the major rune and headgear, you have better healing than the max

A good example is mending, at 12 healing, it gives only a regen of 3. cast it at 14-15 you will receive a regen of 4 !

The more you have in the attributes, the more the skills are effective !

The maximum you can get in an attribute is 17. 12 from basic attributes points, 3 from superior runes, 1 from headgear. The last point is given by weapons, some weapons will have a % chance of increasing an attribute by 1.

I hope it helps you!

Unless you are an Elementalist or Necromancer You can reach up to Lv.19 Attribute points with the skills "Glyph of Elemental Power" and "Awaken the Blood".

But ya, just do as Boubou said. Check how much you heal for, then remove your equipment and look again. There wouldn't be all those Runes and Attribute raising skills if you couldn't go higher. ^_^

Well here you go

Glyph of Elemental Power - (5 energy,1 cast time,5 recharge) - Your Elemental attributes are boosted by 2 for your next spell.

And to compare damages of a Lv.12 and Lv.19 of Air Magics.

Lightning Strike -
Lv.12 - 41dmg
Lv.19 - 62dmg

Lightning Orb -
Lv.12 - 82dmg
Lv.19 - 124dmg

Nice... thank you. Just noticed that on the skills listing, the location where to buy it isn't written. Anyone have an idea?

*EDIT* Using the search button...

I do know that you can capture Glyph of Elemental Power from a boss in The Wilds so head there if you want it. There's probably millions of other places to get it, but I'm sure that you can get it there.

I thought the same thing myself, but for the sake of argument, if what I said is true, then you could use runes to boost lesser attributes to 12. For example, you can have one natural 12 (for 97 attribute pts), and a couple of artificial 12's via runes and headgear.

Upon reflection, I think what you and Boubou are saying is correct. The Prima guide must be wrong.

Thanks for quick response.
