Weaken Armor

Seems like a really nice curse (-20 physical armor for 34 sec. 10 mana cast, 2 sec cast time, 30 sec recharge). But in the comments part, I found nothing, is there something wrong with this skill that I am not aware of?

Nope, nothing is wrong with this skill. This skill is a really great skill that gets over looked a lot (just like all the other necro skills, too). I made a N/R and I use this skill and then put my marksmenship all the way up. Combine this skill with Penetration shot and a Sundering bow, and you will be looking at 60-100 damage each hit for 30+ seconds. Plus, unlike preparations, all your other teammates can benefit from it too! Great skill! Necros Rock!

It's a great pve skill because monsters don't have hex removal.
In pvp it's trash because of a huge recharge and the fact that it'll get removed asap.

I'm not sure about the whole "it's a hex so it'll get removed and is thus worthless" arguement.
A lot of the classes (ranger, warrior, elementalist) do not have good hex removals, you really just need to pick your targets well. Besides, I'll just use parasitic bond as a cover hex.
Since I'm experimenting with a R/N, I can always use distracting shot to break hex removals (most of which have significant casting times).
In your opinion though, let's say I stack Favorable Winds, Read the Wind with my shots, should I go with a horn bow for the max damage per hit, or halfmoon for the RoF. I mean, read the wind and Favorable work differently than the wilderness buff which are independent of bow armor piercing values.

Well he said he was using PB as a cover hex, because the skill remove hex does just that removes ONE hex, therefore weaken armor is still active

The amount of factors for this skill to work decently is absurd. Poor hex removal, multiple cover hex slots (generally a complete waste otherwise, ala pb), hoping the enemy doesn't have convert hex, and the enemy not to slap on protection on them (throwing this on someone screams 'they're going to hit me' much like other necro spells like rigor or lingering).
So...you can find a better skill, or you can design a gimped build to keep it up slightly longer for mediocre benefit. The smart choice should be obvious.

It's a great early PvE skill for War/Necs and Ran/Necs, since the curses attribute only lengthens the duration, not increase the effect, and early on, -20 armor is a load of their defense.

The biggest problem with useing this skill as a pure support necro, and a lot of curses for that matter, is that every Warrior and thier mama loves to take Firey Dragon Swords. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten into a group with three warriors and gone "Oh goody! Mark of Pain and Weaken Armor..." and every single one is packing a Dragon Sword.
And if you try to ask them before the mission, most get defensive, confused, or just flat out ignore you becuase they can't figure out why you are asking.
