Can Someone Please Tell Me How To Reset My Pets Name To Its Original?

FFS, this is really bugging me - please someone help me out - I want to see what my pet evolves/has evolved into but I can't because I've changed its name! Does anyone know how to reset it to default?

I dont think you can unfortunantly, but i'm not certain. But I dont think it really makes a difference what its names would have become, you can just call it elder if you want.

The name does make a difference - it shows you which bonuses ur pet has gained, e.g. Playful is +30HP, -1 dmg and Hearty is +60HP, -2dmg, etcetc. - so for this reason I want to reset my pets name to its default one - anyone else know how?

you can't. Once you change your pets name, it's changed for good and you'll never know what evolution it is on as the evolution name never gets tagged to player made names - even if you changed it back to it's original name, it would still be a player made name.

It sucks, and I really don't care dumping my pet and getting a new one, but that doesn't work.

The only solution is deleting your character and making a new one...
(I haven't tested this yet, but I assume it works.)

But who cares, in this game a pet is just 1 extra weak henchman anyway.

Its only weak if u dont have BM on 12, once u have that its stronger than a bow

How do you name an animal?

/namepet (pets name), or /petname (pets name).

If you delete your character, then set it back up and go get a pet it will reset to the default as the game believes you are a new character. I have done this. I even kept the old character name when creating the new one. Down side is going through the whole game again. Is it worth it? That is a question only you can answer.

GhostPoet - To name a pet you must be outside with your pet then press ENTER key and type /petname "newname".

When you release your pet and charm a new one, it will have the same name as your old pet.
Does anyone know if this a known bug, or working as intended?
