Rez Orb

Strangely enough, there is nothing under this topic. Does the rez orb from HOH have to be dropped on the altar to resurrect all (keyword ALL) dead allies?
Seems to be a lot of confusion about wether to drop it on the altar or near the fallen bodies.
Is the rez orb the same as casting "light of dwayna" ?
After you drop the rez orb, it respawns back at your base. I think enemy teams can pick it up so you cant use it. If you kill the carrier, does it drop there and can you pick it up again or will it spawn back in you base.

To clear this up ive been in many groups argueing about what to do but the rule of the orb is it ressurects everyone within a 50 feet radius. I don tknow how to calculate 50 feet on Guild Wars but I do know to drop it near the place that it can reach the most dead allies

anyone know what the size of the aggro perimiter circle on your hud is ?

it is always a big fu:ing prob about who is going too carry it ^^
Ppl say that a Ele should carry it, now why is that? :S

While carrying an object you can cast but you can't use weapons.

my guess is the el's or monks can still cast spells will they are carrying it. unlike a warrior who would be carryin it wont be able to attack.

ummm definatly a monk should carry it lol. monks dont attack so it wouldnt be any a problem

I don't know about Monks carrying tho. Sure it's the easiest choice, but don't all the monks die first? Wouldn't a group that knows what they're doing target a monk with the rez orb and get a two for one (dead monk and take away your orb)? I'd definately prefer an Ele or Necro to carry it if anything.

Yeah ELE must be the best,.. it depends what kinda build u are in....

Furthermore, monks and necros rely more on their foci/staff for the energy boost. Eles have energy storage which already provides a big boost to the energy reserve. making the boost from foci/staff less significant.

can someone answer the origional post about droping the orb on the altar opposed to droping it near enemies ?
Does droping it on the altar do anything special that droping it near enemies doesnt ?
Plus whats the radius of the aggro perimiter circle on the hud ?
