Here's a picture of me killing 14 Caromi Elites. I know it's not that special, but it's just that I wanted to show you that you should really farm the shit out of these, since the drops are really great (got 10 Golden Tengu Armor in about half an hour) and as you can see here, it's easy to take them out.

farming those tengus are just for smiting monks. other than that, you'll lose your hair trying to do it with other professions.

Where are you farming them where they don't have a mesmer with them though? Everywhere I find them they seem to have someone along with them that can strip the hell out of enchantments.

A Mesmer Elementalist can farm that same area just as well. All you really need are 3 spells. Firestorm, Chaost Storm and Whirlwind. The Firestorm and Chaos storms will really tear through the mob as they attack, and Whirlwind will really buy you some time as it knocks down the whole mob.

Then use things like chain lightning or Lightning Touch to really tear into them while they attack.

Need points to be in Dom, Fire and Air. And anything you have left you can put in Fast Casting.
