Is the ladder case senstive?

I'm just wondering if the ladder is case sensitive. If 2 guilds had the same name and tag, or even the same tag, would they both be allowed just because the case is different from each other?

Did anyone search for their guild's tag and come up with another guild other than your own?

Duplicate tags are allowed- there's a limited number of 3-letter combinations, and ArenaNet didn't want to force people with a guild named Seekers of Light to have to have the tag of QLX because SoL was taken by Sons of Lucifer, and every other possible combination was taken by other guilds. On the other hand, guild names are restricted to one(so there can't be 10 Fianna's for instance). Since the names are capitalized automatically like character names(first letter of a word is capitalized automatically, all other letters are lower-case), it's impossible to have the same name as another guild but with different capitalization.

If you searched the ladder for SoW last weekend, you'd find my guild, Spirits of War. However, there was another guild with the SoW tag, though they had a different name- I don't recall offhand what it was, but yes, multiple guilds with the same tags are possible- only the guild names are unique.

ok, thanks for the info. I wish it wasn't like this, but hey what can you do if there is only a limited combination of tags there can be?
